The room was fantastic! I got an upgrade to a bigger room, which was perfect for chatting with friends. They provided bath bags and bath salts, and the shower was huge, plus there was a walk-in closet. The electric curtains were a nice touch, I almost didn't get to fully appreciate them. They even gave us latex pillows. The food was great too! Miss Luo at the front desk was so patient and friendly. It was a really pleasant trip, I'd love to stay there permanently!

I specifically booked a hotel close to the high-speed rail station because I had to catch a train the next day. I was traveling with two children, three suitcases, and several other bags. The high-speed rail station is huge and unfamiliar to me, but the front desk staff was very friendly and polite. The next day, when we were leaving, they even helped us carry our luggage to the underground level and walked with us for a bit. They said that you can go directly to the high-speed rail station from there, which was absolutely wonderful!

The Hotel has 3 towers in total and is very close to Hongqiao Railway station and airport . Pro: they serve breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner buffet( with happy hour with alcohol) as compared to other hotels who only provide breakfast buffet for the price. Cons: 1) NO INROOM DINING AND NO MINIBAR. I don’t know why is it difficult to provide these basic amenities despite being and IHG hotel . 2) Also their king size beds are actually queen size , the king premium room assigned was with queen bed and less carpet area. 3) The noise insulation is very weak and I could hear if someone using bathtub or coffee machine, or talking outside my room very clearly . Perhaps hotel can improve on that . 4) The WiFi is very slow and under performative . It needs serious improvement . I gave this rating due to 3 buffets they provide in same price rest is pretty basic for an IHG hotel but no inroom dining and absence of minibar was a major let down from crownplaza. I don’t know why . 😓

It's a 30-minute walk or 15-minute taxi ride from Hongqiao Railway Station. When I booked, afternoon tea and a late-night snack were included, which saved me from having to buy dinner. The room size was reasonable (actually a bit larger than standard hotel rooms), and the gym on the basement level was adequate. It's not brand new, but it's very well-maintained. There are also shopping malls nearby, making shopping convenient, and plenty of coffee shops and convenience stores.
