Jing'an Shangri-La, Shanghai

The room I initially booked had a lingering smell, either of smoke or mildew, so I was upgraded to a different room. There was a minor misunderstanding which they promptly rectified with a complimentary fruit plate. I have a deep affection for Jing An Shangri-La; it is, without a doubt, the best hotel in Shanghai. While some facilities might be showing their age, the cleanliness and service consistently remain top-notch. I once witnessed a guest spill coffee on the carpet during breakfast. The manager immediately stood by the stain, waiting for colleagues to clean it up, and the entire process from discovery to clean-up took less than two minutes. I hope the hotel team maintains this level of professionalism. Shanghai may have many luxury hotels, but your efforts truly demonstrate what an industry benchmark looks like. The Qiantan Shangri-La, in my opinion, leans more towards an influencer-driven style with mediocre service, and I haven't stayed at the Pudong or Hongqiao Shangri-La. However, due to its prime location and excellent amenities, I will always support the Jing An branch. The turndown service is excellent; I just wish they'd add a small dessert or chocolate in the future.

Fantastic stay! The floral arrangements in the lobby are always stunning. Last time I commented on the carton water in the room, and this time it's been replaced with glass bottled mineral water. What an upgrade! They really listen to feedback!

Shanghai Jing An Shangri-La is perfectly situated in the heart of Jing'an's bustling commercial district, offering incredibly convenient transportation and immediate access to vibrant city life. The 'cloud-level' rooms provide stunning panoramic views of Shanghai. The dining options are diverse, and the front desk staff, Tina, Luca, and Jessica, provided thoughtful and attentive service. The hotel is also well-equipped. Definitely worth another visit!

Although the hotel is a bit older, it's well-maintained, and the key is its excellent location.

The room was massive, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The bedding was so good I fell asleep instantly. The service was excellent, and I'll definitely be back! Special shout-out to Shelly, Lucy, and July from the Executive Lounge – they were all wonderful.

Everything was pretty good overall. While breakfast wasn't as lavish as I'd hoped, it was still decent. The location is super convenient with all sorts of businesses nearby. I hope they can improve the breakfast variety and their fried eggs! :-D

I initially chose the Jing An Shangri-La purely for its convenient location and accessibility, but I was pleasantly surprised by an even better experience after checking in. First off, I loved the scent in the lobby. The staff were all professional and genuinely enthusiastic in their service. Knowing we were a family of three, they upgraded us to a suite at a discounted rate, which was a wonderful surprise. The room was perfectly arranged to our liking, and we received fresh fruit daily. The breakfast was also delicious. I'll definitely choose Jing An Shangri-La again on my next trip to Shanghai.
