The place was a little hard to find. There's a big sign, and when I went up the escalator, there's two doors - one on the far right and one on the left. (Choose the one on the left.) Maybe there's a sign in Chinese, but there's not one in English. I saw quite a few foreigners coming and going; you'd think that they'd have more English signs or at least one worker who can speak SOME English. But I understand. Shanghai isn't so much of a first-tier city as it was before COVID, in my opinion.
But, yeah, I was confused at the front desk. There's a few people working but they represent different hotels, guesthouses, individual rooms, etc. One worker I dealt with was very professional, the other one was just a little unfriendly, in my opinion.
The place is OK, I suppose. If you just HAVE to stay in Zhongshan Park, it's adequate.
