Meta Tree Hotel, People's Square, City Center In Shanghai

This hotel is located in a residential complex, in a standalone building. The overall environment is quite clean and tidy. They have a gym and a laundry room. It's not too far to get anywhere by taxi, and you can even cycle to Nanjing Road for shopping, which is quite convenient. The service was very attentive and friendly. I really should have booked for a couple more days, but when I tried to extend my stay, it was already fully booked. My only minor suggestion is that the soundproofing is a bit lacking since the rooms are quite close together. You can clearly hear activity from neighboring rooms and the hallway, especially if people are coming back late or traveling in groups. This caused a slight disturbance to my sleep in the mornings and evenings.

Although the single room didn't have a window, it wasn't stuffy, and the bathroom area was quite spacious, which was perfect for a solo traveler. The hotel's location is excellent, making it easy to find and convenient for getting a taxi. The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful, and they genuinely allowed a late check-out until 2 PM.

The room, though small, was very well-designed and comfortable. The hygiene was excellent, and the coffee downstairs was delicious. The surrounding area was fantastic and convenient, being very close to People's Square and the subway, making transportation easy and finding places to eat a breeze.

This hotel offers great value for money! It even has a gym, and the overall ambiance is lovely. They provide Dyson hairdryers, and the service is incredibly warm and attentive. Highly recommend!

The pickup service from People's Square metro station to the hotel was very thoughtful. Hygiene: Excellent. I'll definitely come again.
