This was absolutely one of our best stay we have had. Introducing us to our room was Iris and in our opinion, had went above our expectations when she provided us assistance whenever we need. It was also lovely and nice gesture when Iris and the team arranged a little surprise for us when they were informed that we would be commemorating our special occasion here. The gym was well maintained with sufficient equipment catering to our needs. The ROOF had great view but we were feeling too cold, luckily they have another indoor bar. Breakfast was exceptional and only regret was we can’t eat more to try out the other food that they serve. Thanks Iris and team!

The Shanghai EDITION is absolutely fantastic! It's in a prime location, within walking distance to the Bund. The room, with its natural wood decor, felt warm and elegant. The Le Labo toiletries were a luxurious touch, and Mia's service was attentive and efficient. Opening the window to see the city skyline was breathtaking. My stay far exceeded expectations, and I'll definitely rebook when I'm back in Shanghai!

My check-in experience was mixed, but some warm-hearted staff managed to salvage my impression. I arrived at 11:30 AM to check in, and the female front desk staff member handling it was very inexperienced. Her operations were slow and repetitive, and I even detected a subtle disdain towards people from the Northeast, which instantly soured my good mood upon arrival. Usually, when I book this hotel via Xianyu, the concierge would proactively carry my luggage to my room after check-in. This time, however, they just handed me my luggage and told me to go up myself. Luckily, as I was entering the elevator, a young lady from Guest Relations caught up to me. She not only gave my child a small gift but also accompanied us all the way to the room. This recovery effort was quite heartwarming. The entire check-in process took almost twenty minutes. Throughout it all, only the Guest Relations lady proactively offered to prepare children's amenities; the front desk staff member consistently wore an impatient expression. I must commend the male front desk staff member, though. He processed my check-in immediately upon arrival, saving me from waiting until 3 PM, and he didn't even acknowledge the female front desk staff member's questioning remarks beside him. Finally, when I was checking out and dragging my luggage to the parking lot, the hotel's concierge staff completely ignored me. Instead, a young man from the parking lot quickly ran over and proactively took my luggage. (Photo of the parking lot attendant attached later, I was truly touched). Hotel service should be a unified experience. I hope the hotel can strengthen training for front-line staff like those at the front desk and concierge, so that the poor performance of a few employees doesn't undermine the efforts of other warm-hearted staff members.

This hotel offers incredible value for money among luxury hotels on the Bund. I guess it's not super crowded yet because it's relatively new and niche. The decor has a dim, artistic vibe (introverts will love it!). Our private butler, Edric, provided excellent and incredibly thoughtful service, plus he's handsome! There were complimentary snacks in the room for all of us hungry girls. No complaints whatsoever.

Amazing experience at the Shanghai Edition, very sleek and modern design, my room had an amazing view of the Bund from the wide windows, the service was excellent and Yona was really helpful and kind to answer quickly on wechat to many requests. The restaurant and the rooftop bar are also exquisite, highly recommend for your stay in Shanghai.

EDITION, Breakfast. Located on the ground floor, the restaurant offers a semi-buffet, semi-à la carte experience. The made-to-order section features a rich and refined Western selection, while the Chinese options boast distinct Shanghai local flavors, including potstickers, soup dumplings, fresh pork glutinous rice balls (cimotuan), fried dough sticks, soy milk, and beef vermicelli soup. The ambiance is elegant, and the glass windows overlook Nanjing Road, giving a sense of being a hidden gem amidst the bustling city. Service: Attentive.

The location is fantastic, right by the Nanjing Road East subway station, and a 5-minute walk to the Bund, making it super convenient for sightseeing and dining. The minimalist design, a renovation of an old building, has a great texture. From my room on the 25th floor, I had a beautiful view of the charming old architecture outside. I must also commend the concierge, Edric. He proactively helped with my luggage during check-in, meticulously explained the room features, and arranged breakfast. His service throughout was attentive yet unobtrusive. The hotel's semi-buffet breakfast offers incredibly authentic scallion oil noodles, and the mini-bar non-alcoholic drinks are complimentary. The New Year's queue atmosphere was also lovely.

The environment is beautiful, check-in was fast, and the hygiene was excellent. The facilities are comprehensive, and Colin handled all our issues diligently. Overall, it was a great stay and a very positive experience.

We stayed four terrific nights Bund view rooms at The Edition Shanghai for Christmas, the hotel is located directly at the Nanjing Pedestrian street. Special thanks to Mia for her dedication and prompt support all through our stay. She made our vacation smooth and memorable with her gestures and wechat direct connection. An trip that exceeded all expectations! **Service:** A big thank you to Yona for making our entire trip so enjoyable. They added us on WeChat the day before we arrived and helped us secure a high-floor room with a great view. We mentioned we might arrive early, and they allowed us to check in half an hour ahead of schedule and even provided two complimentary breakfasts. **Room:** The room was spacious with an excellent view, and we were able to arrange for a bubble bath. **Restaurant:** We chose to have dinner at Yone, and they pre-arranged a table by the bay window, which was perfect for photos. The restaurant manager heard we weren't particularly fond of our first salad, and since the dessert we ordered was sold out, they compensated us with eel spring rolls and a delicious chocolate dessert, along with a small cake for a special occasion. The dining experience was nearly perfect. **Bar:** Guests have priority booking for the rooftop bar, but it was quite cold in winter. Finally, Yona extended our check-out until 1 PM and personally escorted us to the drop-off area, even giving us Christmas blind boxes. Overall, both the service and the room facilities were impeccable.

Traveling with kids, the overall experience was quite relaxed. The hotel's location is convenient, and the environment is quiet, so my child slept well at night. Communication before and after check-in was very smooth, and a special thanks to our butler, Yona, for arranging everything in advance, which made arrival and check-in hassle-free. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay, perfect for families with children.

The luckiest choice I made for this trip to Shanghai was staying at The EDITION, and the most delightful surprise was the thoughtful service from Luna in Guest Relations! From pre-arrival communication to post-departure care, her professionalism and warmth were evident throughout, adding a touch of comfort and healing to our luxurious stay by the Bund. I happened to mention how much I liked the Le Labo toiletries in the room, and she thoughtfully gave me an extra set when I checked out. The hotel's location is truly prime – a 5-minute walk to the Bund, and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street is right downstairs. It's an excellent location. Next time I'm in Shanghai, I will definitely choose The EDITION again, and a special thank you to Luna for making this trip extra perfect! I highly recommend it to every traveler seeking quality and a great experience~

The hotel's location itself is impeccable, just a few minutes' walk to the Bund. The Bund night view from the room and the Le Labo toiletries were already delightful surprises, but Luna's service doubled that wonderful experience. Before my trip, I contacted her through the platform to inquire about room types and views, and Luna's replies were prompt and detailed. On check-in day, she had already arranged an efficient process for me in advance. Throughout my stay, any request I had was quickly addressed by Luna. The front desk and concierge also provided meticulous and considerate service. My stay at The Shanghai EDITION this time was excellent in all aspects, perfectly embodying the concept of a 'home away from home'.
