First off the hotel was super clean, everything in the room, the breakfast buffet and everything seem to be very well maintained. The king size bed I had was very comfortable, and I'm very picky about beds so it was the right amount of softness and support that I like
The style of the hotel is somewhat modern, the appointments are what I would call modern contemporary styling.
There were a handful of negatives that I was a little surprised at. The hotel rooms look like they were designed by a very intelligent art student who had never stayed in a hotel and had only seen high-end hotels from photos. The shower was great except for the fact that the floor tile and the shower got very Slippery When Wet, which makes absolutely no sense. Someone is going to fall and Sue the hotel because once soap gets on that floor, it's dangerous. Secondly the bedside room controls are a touch panel which is great except you can't see it unless you get out of bed partly which is a major pain. It would be great to have physical switches next to the bed instead of a touch panel. Lastly for some strange reason the sink is not in the bathroom it's in the main room which is fine if you're alone but if you're there with your spouse or family and you need to go to bathroom in the middle of the night and you want to wash your hands you're just going to wake everyone up. Lastly for some strange reason there's no storage in the room. There are bedside tables which could have a drawer and there is room to have some kind of chest but if you're the kind of person who unpacks your suitcase when you go to a hotel, this is not your hotel. There's not a single drawer or shelf in the entire room there is a low stand for a suitcase with a hanging rack over it but the base has a impossibly small refrigerator in it so there's no storage for your clothes or shoes. Speaking of the refrigerator if you want to put more than a few water bottles and two or three containers of yogurt, forget it. It's not big enough for even a dinner plate. I fail to see the value and having such a tiny refrigerator except to just check a box. There was some very nice touches such as motion sensing lights in the bathroom and on the base of the bed when the room lights are off so you don't have to leave a light on in the bathroom the shower is nicely a portioned except for the death floor tile. The hotel has a laundry room which is actually very nice with four washers and four dryers and facilities for ironing and there are Melitta coffee makers in the breakfast room and in the lobby which are great. The room has a hot water urn and some tea bags but no coffee in the room.
I can't say I will return to this hotel but I can say it's not terrible it's just lacking and things that I'm used to having such a storage and a shower floor that isn't trying to kill me
