JI Hotel (Shanghai Sichuan North Road Metro Station)

Very poor service! ! Especially the front desk called **, arrogantly said: Complain freely! 1. When booking a room, I promised to check in at 14:00, but when I arrived at the store at 17:30, it was said that there was no room! 2. We plan to continue staying the next day, saying that Ctrip is expensive, and we have applied for the Huazhu Club Card. If we cancel the extension, the Huazhu Club Card gold will not be refunded! 3. After check-out, the child wanted to use the bathroom. A front desk told us the location, but the waiter named ** interrupted and said that there was no bathroom, and asked to find a place outside. This is too stupid! 4. I said I wanted to complain to the front desk named **, but they said arrogantly: Complain, no problem!

The hotel staff was friendly and spoke some English. The rooms were small but despite that the set up was nice and had what we needed and I would stay there again. The location is a about a 25 minute car ride from most popular places in Shanghai in traffic. There was not many amenities in the room if you like to have extra stuff .

When traveling to Shanghai for business, I will give priority to staying in Yishang. The North Bund store I stayed at this time has convenient transportation. There are two lines to choose from on Dalian Road and Tilanqiao, making traveling very convenient. Secondly, the room is always clean, tidy and quiet. The hot water is good and the temperature is high, which can relieve the fatigue of the day. In addition, snacks are thoughtfully prepared. I arrived relatively late and it was really helpful. All in all, it is a cozy hotel and I will choose Yishang again in the future.
Vienna International Hotel (Shanghai Daning International Hongkou Guangyue Road Store)

District of Hutai and Pengpu
Because the exam is close here, I thought it was bad to see the comments, and I did a good psychological expectation. After the result came, I felt that the front desk service was very good, the room was clean, the larger room type was a bit dark, and later changed to a smaller one. (Nothing to eat except breakfast hahahahahaha 🥰

The hotel is on Baoding Road, relatively quiet, room facilities are relatively old, bed comfort is average, breakfast varieties are not many, the taste is still good, but the smell of the room just entered the room, the window will be better if it is open, there is no online evaluation so Poor, and because it is the weekend, there are still plenty of parking spaces, and the master is also more enthusiastic.

Shanghai, located on China's central coast, is the country's most populous city and one of the most vital financial hubs in the world. Shanghai's skyline, punctuated by the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower and the towering Shanghai Tower, paints a vivid picture of the city's impressive blend of traditional charm and modern flair.

Journeying to Shanghai

Shanghai's main international airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport, offers numerous connections globally. Once there, you can reach downtown Shanghai using the Shanghai Maglev Train, buses, or taxis. For domestic travelers, high-speed trains offer an efficient means of travel.

The main mode of payment in China is usually through AliPay or WeChat Pay. Most places still accept credit and debit cards, but it's wise to carry some local currency (RMB) for smaller vendors. Mandarin is the official language, with Shanghainese also widely spoken. A translation app may come in handy when interacting with locals.

Attractions That Shine in Shanghai

Shanghai is brimming with must-see sights. Walk along the Bund to see colonial-era buildings against the backdrop of a modern skyline. Visit the tranquil Yuyuan Garden, an exquisite example of Ming Dynasty design. The Shanghai Museum hosts an extensive collection of Chinese historical artifacts, and the Shanghai Disney Resort promises fun for the entire family.

Shanghai's Seasons and Apparel

Shanghai has a humid subtropical climate. Summers (June-August) are hot and humid, while winters (December-February) can be quite cold. The best times to visit are autumn (September-November) and spring (March-May), when the weather is moderate. Pack a mix of lightweight and warm clothing to adjust to fluctuating temperatures in Shanghai.

Shanghai offers a wide variety of accommodations to meet diverse traveler needs. The Peninsula Shanghai, near the Bund, offers luxury and proximity to iconic sights. For foodies, The Puli Hotel and Spa is near numerous eateries in the Jing'an District. The budget-friendly Mingtown Etour Youth Hostel near People's Square offers comfort without the hefty price tag.
