The room was very small, which I knew. Bedding and towels are clean. But the building is very good, and has a musty smell. The shelf in the bathroom got in the way of the wash basin, and there is no way not to splash some water on the floor. The Nordic restaurant is the best I have tasted in Iceland thus far.

Location: Good, located next to the lake, with restaurants and attractions nearby
Facilities: We stayed in a two-person room on the third floor. The room was a bit small, and a suitcase larger than a boarding suitcase might get stuck; the extension cord had poor contact, the hot water pressure was sufficient, and it came with a hair dryer, soap, shampoo and Conditioner; there is chess to play in the public area.
But why does the 4-person room on the first floor have a hot water kettle (as seen through the window when walking by the lake), but not upstairs? !
Service: The first floor is under renovation, self-service is provided, keys are provided in envelopes for self-pickup, no breakfast is provided, only paper is enclosed in the envelope. Recommended restaurants

Wonderful little hotel! We stayed in December 2023 in a triple room with a great view out onto the ship harbor. It was easy to get in touch with reception to check in and he was wonderful to let us know which restaurant in town was open for the evening. There’s a fridge in the desk that we didn’t find until the next morning.

Property manager(s) were incredibly kind and patient with us. The room we actually booked was under construction due to a recent water leakage, so the property manager provided us an upgraded stay for the same price we originally paid. They provided us the opportunity to dine in for breakfast and were so nice to offer help when we had lost our drone to the tree by the blue church 😭 we’ve accepted our loss, but really appreciate their offer - it really is the thought that counts ❤️

Small room no refrigerator for $350 for two nights what a joke and then they make you pay $20 for breakfast over priced not worth a nickel

The hotel was lovely but our room had a very strong mouldy smell coming from the bathroom, and the shower tiles appeared to have mould growing in spots. We could not keep the door to the bathroom open for any length of time because of this as it overpowered the whole room. We also did not feel comfortable to shower.

Quite cozy rooms next to the beautiful lake. We were confused in the Checkin process as it is at a separate hotel but the hotel is quite near like next building so all in all it was a good stay. We also saw northern lights from the place.

Room was quite small to our surprise. Can hear everything/everyone passing by hallway as well as next door room.
Was surprised when our room was opened by a couple with their son and to their surprise too, we were already in the room. Apparently whoever checked them in gave them our room key as well 😣.
Next morning, check out staff was so apologetic and offered us coffee or tea in the house.
Location was near the harbor and since it’s in a small village, you can easily walk everywhere.
