I spoke with representative after booking to say that I am handicapped in a wheelchair. Needed accessible room. Got there, put in a room that did have wheelchair path to get there, but no handicapped parking spots near room. Some parked without plate or tag making it difficult to unload. Then room was not handicapped. No bars near toilet and very low. Tub/shower was too high for me to shower for 3 nights.
Concierge offered to do a timeshare tour the day I was leaving for some compensation. Said I was leaving to continue road trip and couldn’t. Was going to ask manager if possible to do anything and never heard back. Being a Hilton member, I’m really surprised on how this was handled as they are affiliated with Hilton Vacations.
If accessible was not available when I spoke to the rep on the phone, they should have advised and I would have stayed somewhere else. 3 nights on vacation and not able to shower or use the facilities easy made for a bad stay.
***Note - To be fair, for people that do not need accessible accommodations, the room was nice and worth booking.
