Kalimba Beach Resort

Great location, centrally in the area and right on the beach. Hotel itself is a little bit dated, could use a revamp. But otherwise a nice hotel.

This year we visited Kalimba for the second time and we had a great experience again! Every day started with a fantastic breakfast buffet, supported by the team of Tamara, Penda, Kaddy, Marianna and Maimouna (1st). At the egg-station, Marina, Alima and Awa waiting for you to prepare a fantastic ommelet. Nice to see also, how the trainees Jalika and Aisha were growing in their job during our two weeks stay! While walking to the beach we stopped usually at the beach-bar and got the first lessons from Neneh in Walof language. We promised to practice at home and we hope she will be there next year to take an exam. After our walks on the beach we had our drink(s) and had some nice talks with Famara, Pa and Ansu. Passing the reception, it has always been a pleasure to have some words with Omar and we very much appreciate his cooperation at our arrival! In the evening, we were very happy with the life performances of various artists, starting just after dinnertime and inviting lots of people to dance (even without experience). Great to see that the staff could join us from time to time and especially Bubbacarr and Maimouna (2nd) gave several very professional performances! One other remark we want to make is the very special way Fatou and a collegue dressed our bed because of our 49th weddingday. So nice! We hope we wrote all names correctly and we appology for the people we forgot to mention. Overall it has been a stay that we will not forget and we are making plans already to come back in March next year!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The people were incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The food was amazing – fresh, tasty, and with a great variety every day. The staff were super friendly and created a really warm atmosphere. A special mention to the animation team – they were fantastic, full of energy, and made every day fun and unforgettable. Thank you for such a great experience. I would definitely love to come back! ️

I can only be extremely positive about Kalimba Beach Resort. It’s located right next to the beach, has an own swimming pool, clean rooms, and most important of all: the food is absolutely amazing. Hope to come back one day. I would absolutely advise anyone reading this to book that trip over there if you’re craving some sun and relaxation. The smiling coast of Africa is waiting for you! We came back for the 3rd time and are always impressed by the kindness and service oriented approach of the waiters/waitresses and supporting staff. Even though people like Musa Ceesay is a junior waiter, he act as a professional towards all guests. I would recommend the hotel management to keep him as part of the the team. He was very well trained by his manager and peers and very coachable as well.

During my stay, Musa C. truly distinguished himself in an exceptional way. His combination of professionalism, genuine humility, sharp attentiveness, remarkable memory, and his ever-present smile created an experience that went far beyond standard hospitality. Musa manages to make guests feel both welcome and valued, anticipating needs even before they are voiced. His natural kindness paired with his calm confidence brings a rare level of comfort and quality to the service. People like Musa turn a good visit into a memorable one — and he absolutely deserves to be recognised for that.

Very relaxed, super friendly people, nice beach and swimming pool. Special thanks to the animation team and positive vibe they share. I usually dislike animatiin during my stay, but this time - for the first time - it was just positive, enthousiastic, keeping it cool and relaxed. Location: perfect spot, at the beach, close to the senegambia *****, monkey forrest or for sideseeing around with a private taxi/tourguide Rooms: what you can expect in Africa. Overall fine. Beds are really good, towels somewhat old and quickly smelling Value for money: 8+ Tip: arrange all your activities with local people. Far better price and better experience. Amazing holiday, I only went for a week but it was amazing, the people are very nice, especially Ibrahim Sesay with the dance moves and Habib with the Djembe lessons and Bubacar a.k.a skinny. I hear from many tourists they often come back and I completely understand! I also hope to come back some time.
