Lotte Hotel Seoul Executive Tower

City Hall/Myeong-Dong Seoul|0.33km from Laneige
Stayed at the Lotte Executive Tower just after the holidays, in a Premier Double Room. Pros: - The entrance of the Executive Tower is absolutely beautiful. Same with the Main Tower. Elegant, refined, beautiful art work. The executive tower check-in desks are on the 15th floor. - Easy access by escalator directly into the Lotte Department Store (from where the escalator takes you to, hang a right to get to the famous food hall!) - Location can’t be beat. Directly across from Eujiro Station (1) and around the corner from Myeong-Dong Walking Street / Night Market and several 7-11s (which are almost as good as the 7-11s in Japan). - Our room was beautiful, spacious, thoughtfully designed and decorated. Very modern touches and upscale finishes. A chandelier in the bathroom?? - Immaculate housekeeping. - Excellent temperature and very strong water pressure in the shower! - Appreciate the 2 complimentary bottles of Evian every day. - Fast wifi speeds. Cons: - Love the Diptyque toiletries but wish they weren’t the communal / shared bottles. There were bits of dried lotion crusted on the pump from the previous occupant. - Weird that neither lobby had a single chair to sit on. What’s up with that? Comes off a bit inhospitable. This isn’t the type of place to attract non-guests / loiterers. A bench wouldn’t kill anyone! - For a 5* hotel and the price we’re paying, it’s disappointing that there is a surcharge should you need a toothbrush, toothpaste or use of the sauna (!!). They claim the charge for toothbrush and paste is to prevent wastage but surely you could just have these small items available upon request at the front desk? - The doormen’s manners range from formal and friendly (some) to indifferent (most) to downright hostile (many), especially if you are not a Korean speaker, as many don’t speak English. I’m not arrogant enough to think they should speak English in a non-English speaking country, but a smile is universal, you know? Would likely stay here again at the right price and given the location.

If you just need a bed for sleeping a night, this place is a cheap option for that. This place seems like it's geared towards backpackers travelling on a budget. If you want hotel standards, it's better to look somewhere else. The bedroom was almost as small as the bed itself (but it had a bathroom) and it had only a tiny window. The room was worn out, e.g. pieces of wallpaper were missing. Still the room had all the necessities (including aircon) and I slept well. I was travelling alone, having two persons in the room would have been a nightmare. The location is perfect on a busy street (that was pedestrianized during the afternoon and evening) in the city center and close to a metro station. The guesthouse is located on the upper floors of the building and there's only a small door on the street. Luckily they emailed a map two days before arrival to help finding the door, otherwise it would have been like finding a needle in a haystack. My window was facing the street, but the room was so high up that the noise from the street didn't disturb after I closed the window. In the afternoon and evening the street was filled with street food vendors. There was a 20,000 won deposit that had to be given in cash. Breakfast was included, but it was really basic. It was self-serve and the only food options were toast and cereals. You had to wash your dishes yourself.

I had a day time layover (5am-10pm) so I reserved the room the day before my layover even though I’ll be checking in on my check out day. I kept trying for a late check out and was willing to pay for it just for some extra comfort for my family and I to rest after our red eye flight but was denied because they needed to clean the room although it wasn’t even occupied as I checked that it was still available online for booking. I did get until 12pm instead of 11am but I also checked in at 8am so only having 4 hours of the room. Besides this, the room was clean and the location is great.

Recommended by a friend, i booked this hotel for my last night in Seoul after a couple days of business trip, located in the bustling myeongdong shopping street, all the shops and street vendors right in front of you, the room was clean, check in process easy, check in time is 15:00 but you can keep your luggages while waiting, small room similar like ones in Japan, but quite cozy bed, amenities are okay, and they have bidet (important🤭), free coffee and microwave available at the lobby, for the price, maybe you can get bigger room in other distant hotel, but for me i’m up for it’s location

The location is in the downtown area of Myeongdong, so I think it is very good. Affected by the new crown epidemic, I checked in face-to-face, but I didn't know anything, so I was confused because there was an entrance where I could enter my password immediately after getting off the elevator. I call because I have a phone number, but I don’t think it’s suitable for people who don’t understand Korean or can’t make calls. It's not unclean, but it feels dirtier than what I saw in the photos. I am also worried about the dirt on the sheets. I'm a bit stubborn, so I worry about things that I worry about, but I don't think people who are not worried. Can't watch TV (maybe I didn't understand it), and because I only have shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hair dryer, I have to bring a toothbrush and other supplies, so I can't recommend it to anyone who wants to reduce luggage. Personally, it is not that bad or so good.

Hotel was a good stay. I only needed to stay to go to my passport appointment in the morning but if i needed to go somewhere cheap and in the heart of Myeongdong street it would be here.

Hotel location is very good, inside Myeongdong. But the room is really small, not suitable for purchasing, and neither of the two big suitcases can be put.
