Jirasin Hotel & Apartment

Nice abs clean motel in Ranong town. Very suitable location. Good room, room lighting and wide bed.
Rabbit Bungalow
4.3/55 Reviews
A calm and relaxing base to unwind, and to explore Ko Phayam. The resort is set beautifully in gardens overlooking a pond and forest, yet just a very short walk to the beach. The owner and host, Khun Lek, embraces the mood of the island with simple but comfortable huts, and the resort's cook must be one of the island's finest. Oh, and I had to ask Lek who supplies his coffee beans, the fantastic morning espresso, while listening to birds and contemplating the water lilies in the pond, was quite an unexpected treat. Lek is truly a host. He enjoys to be with his guests, and to share his love of the island, its beaches, bars, and sights. We will be back, and very much look forward to seeing Khun Lek and Rabbit Bungalows again soon.
The Iconic Hotel Ranong
4.4/511 Reviews
We didn’t have a hotel booked when we arrived in Ranong at 7.30 pm pack packing and searched local on internet and iconic came up we were greeted with the most friendly young lady on reception who instantly gave us a cold drink and then explained the room rates we were checked in within 10 mins and found the hotel to be exceptionally clean and in a perfect location for the local eateries. The room had all you could need. A very nice bathroom with excellent shower and toiletries shampoo shower gel and tooth brushes. The room had tv a safe a hair drier and coffee making facilities making our overnight stay very comfy. We booked breakfast which was again very nice and a good selection as you can choose off a menu with water juice and coffee all supplied. We were heading to ko Phayam so enquired about getting to the pier and the ferry times and again the lady on the reception made a phone call and informed us we would be picked up at 09,30 and taken to the ferry from the hotel this was that little extra touch that we think makes the iconic a place to stay as local knowledge is very useful when visiting any area. We would not hesitate in returning and thank all the staff for a comfortable relaxing overnight stop. To sum the iconic hotel up its very clean very relaxing very friendly and a perfect overnight location.
Ziggy Stardust
4.1/55 Reviews
UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. Ziggy Stardust has been transformed from a beautiful paradisiacal location to a tacky gordy tourist trap. The new manager has decided that basically no Thai food on the menu and no Thai beer is a good idea. Gone are the days of some of the best food on the island coupled with well priced Thai beer cans, only to be replace with a disappointingly predominantly western menu with the only beer being a craft beer at THB180 per glass, served from a very tacky tuk-tuk on the deck. The renovations to the room were well overdue and credit where credit is due the rooms are massively improved. The bed is comfy and the pillows are nice, as is the inclusion of a safe and mini fridge. Unfortunately that’s where the positives end. “Assistant manager” is rude and unwelcoming, completely unlike what Ziggy Stardust was before. The new manager seems to have no clue of what this resort was and should be. It used to have the most amazing menu of Thai food with some western staples, only to be replaced by a western menu with an insulting three Thai dishes. To top that off it is now displayed on an extremely tacky light up menu display above the “bar”. Throughout our trip the restaurant was empty every night, except New Year’s Eve. There is also no breakfast menu at all for guests, which seems a weird choice as you are essentially asking an entire resorts worth of paying customers to spend there money elsewhere. The location is still amazing but I worry for the direction the new manager is taking this resort in. It breaks my heart to write this review, as someone who has been coming to Ziggy Stardust since 2016, but the new manager has taken something special and removed everything that made it so.
Rueangrat Hotel
3.5/59 Reviews
I stayed here one night as part of my 2022 north - south road trip. This is a pretty typical Thai / Asian style budget hotel the likes of which can be found all over the region. It's perfectly suitable for a one night stay but it is not worthy of more than three out of five dots based on a walk-in rate of 690 THB per night. Actually, I was tempted to give it two out of five but the room and bathroom were very clean and the staff was very friendly. There is some (limited) parking for those who self-drive.
Palm Park Hotel

Room was very nice and clean, same as on pictures. Bed was very comfortable. But it was a bit noisy from the road. In general I can recommend this hotel for stay.
