To be honest, it was okay, except that the front desk asked me to pay some extra fees when I checked in. Otherwise, I would have to check out and change rooms at the normal time the next day... But the attitude of the front desk guy was okay. The hotel is not very hidden. You can see it by turning into a small alley on the main road. There are also many bus stops, convenience stores, and airport bus terminals nearby, all within a two-minute walk. Yes, the hotel is in Dongdaemun District, but it takes about 25 minutes by bus to get to the actual Dongdaemun. The bed in the room is big, and the hygiene and space are okay, but I have to say that you get what you pay for. First of all, the air conditioner cannot be controlled remotely. It is probably a central air conditioner. There is only one plug at the bedside. Although there is a charging cable, it can be charged very well. Slow; there is no desk lamp, only a very weird red night light; the toilet is a bathtub, but there is no curtain, and the water pressure of the shower head is very high and cannot be fixed at all, so you have to hold it by hand or turn the water down; it is a bit inconvenient What I endured was the windows, two push-open windows but no! through! Light! There was no natural light coming into the room at all... It rained on the day we arrived, and it was humid in the room with the windows open. It was very dark in the room without the windows. There is no need to swipe a card in the hotel elevator, anyone can get up, which seems to be a hidden danger, but it is convenient for door-to-door takeout~ In short, if you have a small travel budget, you can stay here. After all, you can sleep well. But if you have a little bit of pursuit of hotel quality, I’d better advise you to leave, haha.
The Recenz Dongdaemun Hotel

Room had a fantastic view. Hotel was clean, everyone spoke English, checkin was 1500 but they will hold your bags before checkin for free. Breakfast had mostly traditional Korean options (kimchi, corn soup, curry, rice, French fries, tiny sausages, beans, beef bean sprout story fry, fried tofu) but there was toast and cereal. It was 10,000 won. Room amenities had soap, shampoo but no conditioner or washcloth. They have a hairdryer in the room and two free water bottles of water in the hidden mini-fridge, and two bags of green tea. Room had slippers but no robe or pajamas.

Not far from Cheongnyangni Station and very close to the hotel. If you don't mind renting a hotel by the hour, it's worth considering. The price/performance ratio is also very high. Cheongnyangni Market is also within walking distance and has many restaurants.
