The hotel has a long history and is said to be where the previous king lived. It has been renovated, the design and decoration of each floor are very beautiful, the environment is very good, the bed is big and new, and the view from the balcony is very good and stylish. On a positive note, the view from the sea-facing rooms is absolutely gorgeous and the private balconies are a great place to relax. The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable, however signs of age and lack of maintenance are starting to show. Whilst some staff are friendly and courteous, the majority behave more like civil servants than people in the hospitality industry. “The customer comes first” is definitely missing in their training manuals. Instead, one is made to feel that compliance to their rules is more important. I asked room service for an iron and was told no irons were provided because I “had to use the hotel laundry service”. My colleagues and I were told off by the security guard at the door for bringing bottled water into the hotel because “we had to purchase it in-house”. I waited over 20 minutes after a very long journey for someone to show up at the front desk and check me into my room. My check-in was interrupted twice by other guests requesting their room keys to be reprogrammed and instead of asking them to wait or refer them to a colleague, I was left hanging. The hotel is regularly used for ministerial meetings and visits, and the customer service declines even further as staff rush to cater to government officials and their entourages instead of their guests.

Quite far from the center. Room is simple, medium size. A little in from the main street and quiet. There are many water. There is no door chain and there is a problem with safety. We took the plane since Istanbul because my daughter had to undergo a liver transplant. Arrival at the airport we were taken directly to the Hotel Grand Adghir... A CATASTROPHICAL welcome, the staff of the hotel do not wear the masks, there are no health measures. The room was in a pity condition, I doubt even they had cleaned it before we arrived. Since I had a baby in the low age I thought I had a baby bed in the room ... but I didn't have to do with the means of the edge ( stick 2 chairs so my daughter who underwent a liver transplant can sleep and rest ). When I went down to the hospital to ask for a baby bed, the receptionists didn't even answer me. The room was filled with cafards, the moquette was dirty, the bathroom was in a disaster, the washing machine was escaped, the WIFI almost never works, the doors of the balcony were not closed, The hotel is very comfortable and the hotel is very comfortable. I could write hours and hours on this hotel that doesn't worth any star and doesn't worth its price, I just hope that health services will make a tour there ...

The hotel is good and the service is excellent.. the morning breakfast is varied.. the reception and treatment are very good and the workers are respectful.. but the location of the hotel makes it difficult to reach it from the city center of Algiers and the fault is not in the hotel but in the traffic lights in Algeria that make you lose the destination instead of guiding you.. Note Another is the lack of a private car park in the hotel where you park your car on the road..and this is not considered a big problem because the hotel is equipped with surveillance cameras and the place is quiet and safe..

I loved Hotel Hydra. The purpose of my visit was to see my granddaughter and daughter in law. The room was spacious and well appointed. Only minor points could be improved- bath plug didn’t fit, light bulb out. I didn’t report this though. I felt safe and staff were gracious and kind. I loved Hotel Hydra. The purpose of my visit was to see my granddaughter and daughter in law. The room was spacious and well appointed. Only minor points could be improved- bath plug didn’t fit, light bulb out. I didn’t report this though. I felt safe and staff were gracious and kind. If I visited Algiers again I would definitely stay there.

I’ve been in this hotel for the last 15 day of August, I could/should say, it I very convenient location a big plus is the service and quality of it, eating will never disappoint you a the restaurant; the staff including the Chef will spoil you, if not, they will make sure something can be arranged to make you happy, they will help and treat you like a family, at the restaurant Sofiane and his colleagues are amazing. While taking care of yourself and your room, Narimane, Marouane and Siham (I am 100%, I misspelled their names) are very lovely and 150% committed to be your comfortability. Ahh… the front desk staff are as good as mother could be, they make sure you are comfortable, safe, and good serviced. What can I tell you, I am 100% and 1000 time happy customer.

On a positive note, the view from the sea-facing rooms is absolutely gorgeous and the private balconies are a great place to relax. The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable, however signs of age and lack of maintenance are starting to show. Whilst some staff are friendly and courteous, the majority behave more like civil servants than people in the hospitality industry. “The customer comes first” is definitely missing in their training manuals. Instead, one is made to feel that compliance to their rules is more important. I asked room service for an iron and was told no irons were provided because I “had to use the hotel laundry service”. My colleagues and I were told off by the security guard at the door for bringing bottled water into the hotel because “we had to purchase it in-house”. I waited over 20 minutes after a very long journey for someone to show up at the front desk and check me into my room. My check-in was interrupted twice by other guests requesting their room keys to be reprogrammed and instead of asking them to wait or refer them to a colleague, I was left hanging. The hotel is regularly used for ministerial meetings and visits, and the customer service declines even further as staff rush to cater to government officials and their entourages instead of their guests.

Must begin thanking the front office staff for being helpful and concerned, to accommodate us at absolute short notice. Being ejected out of Mercure, despite having a confirmed reservation, we were desperate for a hotel to sleep over. Jardy popped up on bookings.com. The hotel staff had not received the bookings online confirmation, but the front office went out of the way to provide us rooms for the night. On entering the room, you realise it gets over before it starts. Very minimalisitc features and amenities. Not sure, who decides on the star ratings (Jardy has a 4-star rating!!!). a poor wifi connection. Very ordinary and inadequate lighting in the room. All rooms are non-smoking. The hotel does not have a bar. The one restaurant in the hotel serves some food and also is the breakfast place. The comforter is kept folded in the cupboard. Dont be surprised not finding one on the bed. The rooms have split AC units and the unit in my room was not functional. Luckily the weather was nippy and i did not have a need for the AC.The hotel itself is located in a busy suburb, sorrounded by car mechanic shops. they do have a shuttle to and from the airport. It is also located not very far from the airport. The breakfast spread was ordinary, but decent. . i would not want to stay at the Jardy for comfort or ambience. Did see a lot of arab families staying there. i suppose the absence of liquor makes Jardy their prefered choice.
