The location is excellent: the area is youthful, with many bars and great architecture. The hotel itself is interesting, but the room felt either outdated or unfinished in terms of renovation. The deluxe room was quite small. The city view from the 20th floor was beautiful, but the window was dirty, which spoiled the impression. On the negative side: for 2 out of the 3 days, renovation work was being carried out in the corridor. It was very noisy, with equipment, and started early in the morning, around 8 a.m. We did not get enough sleep and were unhappy with the experience. I believe that if renovation work is taking place, guests should at least be warned in advance, or the work should not start so early in the morning. We were not able to rest properly.

The room was very run down and looked nothing like the photos in the listing, which was extremely disappointing. After checkout, the hotel charged 5,000 won per piece of luggage for storage, claiming it was a recent policy change. While we don’t mind paying, this was not disclosed in the listing and feels misleading, especially since we specifically chose this hotel because we had a late-night flight. The location is good, but unfortunately the room condition and service were very poor. Overall, not a great experience and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Hotel the Designers Hongdae offers a a simple and comfortable stay with a perfect blend of style plus convenience. The rooms are sleek, well-equipped, and very clean, making it a great place to relax after exploring the vibrant Hongdae neighborhood. The hotel’s location is fantastic, with plenty of cafes, shops, and entertainment just a short walk away. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the free Wi-Fi is a nice bonus. If you're looking for a trendy spot to stay in one of Seoul’s most lively districts, this is a solid choice!

This hotel is close to Hongik University and Hapjeong train stations. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby.

No Service at all -I asked for extra teabags and they said they will bring it up  but never did. Room had a few hairs behind the headrest and a piece of the chandelier had fallen onto the bedsheet luckily I it was not sharp.

This was my first solo trip abroad, and I'm so grateful to this hotel. Although the price was a bit on the higher side, the service was excellent, and the location was super convenient. Check-in was a breeze. Thank you!

I have stayed at previous hotel in the area and thought I would try this one down the street. It is a great area and convenient to walk tin the Hongdae area. For the price it is OK, but there is nothing that would make me return other than the price. The view was OK and bathroom was 60%. Convenient outlets and adpters were in the room, WiFi was excellent, and A/C was great. Entry, elevator and room key were fine. From the photos you can decide.

There was ponding in the toilet and the general cleanliness can be further improved. However, for the price - the size of the room and locations is fairly okay.

Absolutely loved the room! It's super close to the city center, right next to the subway, so just a short walk away. Really great value for money, and the room was spotless. The front desk staff were very professional and friendly. I'll definitely come back!

This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever experienced. The room was filthy—bed sheets looked reused, and I’m convinced the floor was never vacuumed, even after daily housekeeping. It’s appalling that they call this “clean.” We booked a room for four people, yet there was only one towel provided at first. We had to request the rest ourselves—completely unacceptable. The bathroom was a complete joke. A translucent door for the toilet? Where’s the privacy? And the open bathtub design left the entire floor soaked and slippery after every shower. Who thought this layout was a good idea? For the price I paid, this is outrageous. The hotel clearly doesn’t care about hygiene, comfort, or guest experience. Management should be ashamed. I strongly advise others to avoid this place entirely—it’s a waste of money and a total disappointment.
