Lotte Hotel Seoul Executive Tower

City Hall/Myeong-Dong Seoul|1.94km from Changgyeonggung Palace
Stayed at the Lotte Executive Tower just after the holidays, in a Premier Double Room. Pros: - The entrance of the Executive Tower is absolutely beautiful. Same with the Main Tower. Elegant, refined, beautiful art work. The executive tower check-in desks are on the 15th floor. - Easy access by escalator directly into the Lotte Department Store (from where the escalator takes you to, hang a right to get to the famous food hall!) - Location can’t be beat. Directly across from Eujiro Station (1) and around the corner from Myeong-Dong Walking Street / Night Market and several 7-11s (which are almost as good as the 7-11s in Japan). - Our room was beautiful, spacious, thoughtfully designed and decorated. Very modern touches and upscale finishes. A chandelier in the bathroom?? - Immaculate housekeeping. - Excellent temperature and very strong water pressure in the shower! - Appreciate the 2 complimentary bottles of Evian every day. - Fast wifi speeds. Cons: - Love the Diptyque toiletries but wish they weren’t the communal / shared bottles. There were bits of dried lotion crusted on the pump from the previous occupant. - Weird that neither lobby had a single chair to sit on. What’s up with that? Comes off a bit inhospitable. This isn’t the type of place to attract non-guests / loiterers. A bench wouldn’t kill anyone! - For a 5* hotel and the price we’re paying, it’s disappointing that there is a surcharge should you need a toothbrush, toothpaste or use of the sauna (!!). They claim the charge for toothbrush and paste is to prevent wastage but surely you could just have these small items available upon request at the front desk? - The doormen’s manners range from formal and friendly (some) to indifferent (most) to downright hostile (many), especially if you are not a Korean speaker, as many don’t speak English. I’m not arrogant enough to think they should speak English in a non-English speaking country, but a smile is universal, you know? Would likely stay here again at the right price and given the location.

Hostel Korea - Changdeokgung

Jongro / Insadong Seoul|0.5km from Changgyeonggung Palace
Geographic location: First of all, the geographical location is very good. It is near the Jingdegong Zhonglu District, with fewer tourists, and the neighborhood is more antique and artistic. Take a taxi from Myeongdong to 5700, and it will be convenient to go to four stations on the subway. Service: The front desk starts at 8 o'clock. We arrived at the door before 8 o'clock and waited to open the door. As a result, we entered the lobby at 8 o'clock and waited until 10 o'clock. It took us two hours to wait and wait here (I will wait because there is a cleaner calling the front desk, I thought I would return after a while, wait until 10 o'clock), really bad reviews among the bad reviews, As a result, we could only leave with luggage and were tired. Although I went back and found that the front desk was full of handsome guys, the handsome and gentle guy who was on duty at night was really terrible. Hygiene: Separate toilet, but the toilet board is stained with naked eyes, the bedding is also slightly yellow with naked eyes, and the floor windowsill is quite clean. But the trash can is small and won't help you change it every day, anyway. Room size: The twin room is a large bed and a small bed. Two aisles can be opened in the aisle. It is no problem. It is larger than expected and the bathroom is large. Good. Breakfast: Oatmeal, cubes, eggs, milk, juice, coffee, strawberry jam are provided. There is a bread machine to bake it. The eggs are baked eggs. I personally like them. Strawberry jam is also good. Free breakfast is fine. To sum up, it is not bad if the impression is not too bad the first morning, after all, it is quite good, after all, the price is very high, and the location is very good.

Hostel Tommy
4.7/558 Reviews
Jongro / Insadong
I stayed at Hostel Tommy for 3 weeks. At first, my plan was to spend each week at a different place whether it was a hostel, hotel or AirB&B. However, after my first week at Hostel Tommy, there was no need for me to go anywhere else. I give Hostel Tommy 5 starts for the following reason: 1) proximity to everything. Any subway or bus that you need to go anywhere is within a 5-10 minute walking distance. I never took a taxi anywhere; and believe me, I went all over Seoul. 2) Convenience: there's a 24-hour 7-Eleven literally right next door, so anything that I needed (snacks) was just next door. 3) Lodging: the room are spacious, super clean, the beds are comfortable. The common areas were also clean and inviting. 4)Reception: Tommy and his staff are the BEST. They will help you with anything you need. I had a great time in Seoul because I never had to worry about anything regarding my stay. From now on, I will ALWAYS stay at Hostel Tommy every time I visit Seoul.
Ibis Ambassador Seoul Insadong

Jongro / Insadong
Insadong is a lively district, and the hotel is located in the heart of it. The building itself is a bit old and worn out, but everything is well maintained and the bathroom is clean and retrofuturistic. Breakfast buffet is good for Korean standards: you have a salad buffet, couple types of rice, meat items. Not much there for vegetarians and no cheese, but for Korea this is a very agreeable breakfast. In short - it’s a safe option in terms of cost efficiency, but if you book in advance you might find better options around.

Stay in the best hotel! The room is very beautiful! Hotel location is still very good! There is a subway nearby and it is close to many attractions! There is no breakfast, but there are many convenience stores and restaurants nearby. No parking. The service is very good, you can communicate in English, and also help to ask for a takeaway. Next time I have the opportunity to settle the room here!

I came up to Seoul to meet my friends, and there were so many people that I was scared of the corona virus, but fortunately there are no Chinese. I stayed in a double room, but the location is also in the center of Seoul, so it is easy to move around and close to Jongno 3 and Anguk Station. I had a few days, but I can boil ramen and the boss is so kind ~~ I will come again next time :)

It's a difficult location to find. It might be easier to find it if you look for the Hyundai Headquarters or the Orakai Hotel across the street. There are several subway stations in the area, but they are all within a 15-minute walk. There is no bus stop nearby and there are various courses, so you need to do some research. There are three convenience stores within a four-minute walk. The front desk was nice, but the room was small and I didn't know if I had upgraded to a superior type room. It is a room that has been elaborated.
