I’m coming to Korea a few times a year, but now always make sure to include a weekend trip to Jeju just so we can stay at this very unique JW. A true sanctuary, if travelling with or without children. Life starts to slow down the moment you step into the open spaced lobby, overlooking the ocean, being seated in comfortable, traditional couches alongside the lobby and served traditional sweets and teas which change by the season while the front desk manager, Max took care of our check-in. He remembered us from our first stay in March and made us already feel back home. And this is just a small pre-taste, the entire experience created for this property from its location, design, F&B and service is driven by a passion to create a real and authentic encounter with Korea, the JW staff, and our selves. And in combination with its spacious layout and limited room numbers, it creates a tranquil experience for singles, couples, and families. Making everyone feel like family and comfortable. A good example are the indoor and outdoor pools which are even in October so warm that we always just end up hanging out at the hotel and never leave after we checked in. This is truly a very addictive sanctuary in Korea to take time out and rejuvenate. A quick note on the suites, we this time stayed at the Panorama Suite which was an incredible experience. The bathroom was even more luxurious as in the standard rooms we usually stayed in, which are amazing already. The bathtub in the suite is easily the size of a 4 people hot tub and in addition to the standard BVLGARI amenities had some unique Jeju aroma bath therapies with Yuzu fragrance and other bath salts. Besides the spacious bath, living and bed room, our suite featured two balconies with ultimate privacy. Since the property sits right at the small cliff above the ocean the rooms offer and unobstructed view of the sea, the small island in front of the hotel with the moon above and the lights of squid boats below, the perfect end of a long day. Especially after starting the day with the hotel’s amazing free flow champagne Brunch Royal buffet with French caviar and its desserts which are the bests we had in Asia. Followed by an afternoon at the pool with a complimentary snacks and drink at 4:30, and dinner at the lounge or restaurants. Insider Tip for Platinum Members and above, if you love to indulge yourself, get the complimentary breakfast in the morning before going for a long stroll along the shoreline, then return to Brunch Royal for lunch ($50 discount). And get taken care of by the wonderful staff, like Jessica, and the pastry chef Marco while enjoying amazing seafood, meats, caviar, and champaign for lunch until 2:30 pm but make sure you leave space for the world best desserts. But note that the welcome gifts are usually also wonderful traditional pastries or snacks. So get ready to be spoiled and have a wonderful, relaxing time at this true, authentic sanctuary.

Hotel Bridge Seogwipo

Overall seems like a nice hotel but cleaning is not good (as in almost every hotel in South Korea I visited this time). The shower (white holder box-like thing) had black mold underneath it. Sink had yellow stains which means that it is not cleaned as it should be. Plastic from the base of bed frames is peeling off and plastic bits prickle your feet when you put them down from the bed- it is time to get a new bed bases. Apart from cleaning everything is good - lobby is modern, has vending machines to buy necessities, location is good but could be tough for some people to get to it (located at the bottom of a very steep hill). There are various places to eat delicious food (traditional Korean banquette menu, chicken, sashimi etc) within 5 minutes of walking. Free water bottles were provided every day. There is also open rooftop with jacuzzi (entrance is free, jacuzzi needs to be booked and payed in advance). Upon checking in they also ask for deposit (was asked just for a card number).

The location is a bit off, but it is good to go to the beach. I can see the sea directly downhill and the sea in the room. Have free water to drink. It’s the hair on the sheets, the stains on the bathroom sink and the toilet are a bit stunned.

The location is great, close to the old town, so it’s easy to eat, and it’s great to visit and return to the accommodation. Most importantly, it is very close to the Olleh market, so I am happy to come back after eating a kind of sashimi in the market. However, it is regrettable that it is impossible to eat takeaway food or packaged food in the room.

I love the self check-in since few Koreans working in hotels speak good English. It saves a lot of hassle n misunderstandings. I love the space in the hotel room. I love the great car park attendants - 2 guys doing a good job especially the big guy! 👍👍 The bathroom water handle n metal bar gets heated up and burned our hands - very dangerous. I love the kitchen with induction stove top but unfortunately no pots to boil ramen etc… no coffee or tea provided too.

Hotel staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Everything is a bit aged but still good. Due to small parking space, the staff will help to park the car and retrieve it when necessary. As it’s located at the other end of the island, it’s quite inconvenient if you always go to the city area. Around the hotel there are a lot of nice food places and convenience stores, there’s even coin laundry just a block away.

The sister at the front desk was really enthusiastic. The friend's bag was still in the passport. The sister at the front desk helped us call the police and wrote down the address for us to take a taxi. She also kept appeased us. The room was very clean, the light was very good, the two balconies, there were many restaurants and snack bars not far downstairs, and there were also nightclubs hahahaha. Very recommended!
