The Firefly Resort Semporna

This resort is considered quite good in Semporna in terms of environment. You can order dinner at the resort, and the food is delicious! After dinner, the owner, haha, sings karaoke. He's really good, like Semporna's Eason Chan 👍🏻 Whenever you need to go to the jetty or town, you can just message the resort on WeChat to arrange a car. They basically have one departing every half hour, which is super convenient. We hardly needed to take taxis; the resort handled all our transfers. For the airport, we took a taxi, which was also quite convenient. The resort has a pet mynah bird, haha, best employee! It says hi every time you pass by. All the resort staff are lovely and enthusiastic. Thanks for the hospitality! The overall greenery of the property is very comfortable. The only downside is the weak Wi-Fi signal. Hope they can improve that, and it would be even better.

Hands down the best place I know near town. The shuttle, front desk, service, and the owner are all top-notch. The chef is fantastic too. And yes, we really did see fireflies!

Most of my wonderful memories from Semporna come from the Firefly Resort. The staff are warm, friendly, and genuine. The resort itself is beautiful and clean, and the food is absolutely delicious. We bought seafood every day and feasted on it! In the evenings, there's karaoke and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!!!

Our escape from the city was a success! This resort truly cured my mental fatigue 🌳✨ If 5 stars is the max, I'd give it 6, with that extra star going to the 'breathable' air and impeccable service. The hotel is nestled in a rainforest. We booked a double room, and stepping out onto the balcony, you're surrounded by lush greenery. Waking up to birdsong was such a rare and incredibly relaxing experience. From the moment we arrived, a butler guided us with attentive care. There was even a Chinese-speaking butler who sang beautifully. In the evenings, you can chat and sing at the bar. Any request was promptly handled.

Had a wonderful time staying in the jungle; it truly felt like a vacation. The room was clean, tidy, cool, and smelled great. The shuttle service was incredibly convenient, taking us to town for island hopping in the morning and picking us up in the evening. The entire stay offered Chinese-language service, and any issues were addressed promptly. It was a very pleasant three-day experience. They also offer a reasonably priced airport pick-up service. We saw fireflies and squirrels, and there's a parrot that talks and greets you when you walk by – very amusing! Dinner was delicious, and you can buy seafood and have the hotel prepare it for you.

This resort is absolutely amazing! I personally tried it out! Although it's a bit far, the environment is fantastic, like a natural oxygen bar. Transportation: If you're coming from the airport by taxi, it might be a bit far and remote. The driver might have trouble finding it or ask for extra money. You can add the hotel's WeChat and book an airport transfer in advance (a small cost for a big convenience). Service: Incredibly good! The boss is a young guy who is very hands-on from the moment you arrive. He's very nice and chatty, and even told us how to bargain for seafood! Food: Their chef's seafood! Unbeatable, so delicious!!!! And in the evenings, the restaurant has music (KTV), and the boss sings 🎤 – the atmosphere is great! Cleanliness: I expected a lot of bugs (because it's in the mountains), but it was surprisingly clean, with no mosquitoes or insects at all!!!!! You won't get bitten. It's truly amazing!!! Plus, their shampoo smells super good! Oh my goodness! I'll be back next year! It's so comfortable! A place for complete joy and relaxation for both body and mind!!

The rooms were quite basic, but the outdoor environment and amenities were excellent. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the hotel provided a scheduled shuttle service to and from the pier. The hotel's dinner selection was also very extensive.
