Room wonderfully cosy with a great balance of a traditional pub and all the modern facilities. All staff very welcoming, helpful and accommodating. Perfect location for spending time at the local nature reserves. If you're into your birds, you can see the pink footed geese flying over in the morning and we found 1000s by accident in a nearby field (on our way to Titchwell). Only had time for the short village walk but there were 3 other local walks really clearly signposted, starting outside the inn, of varying lengths. Both dinner and breakfast very good. Fantastic value for money for the B&B rate!

Our second visit of the week and having been so impressed with the quality of service this time we took advantage of the restaurant . Thursday night is curry night so there was no question what my wife would be having while I choose a hearty meat pie off the main menu an excellent choice .The food was presented as good as it tasted so much so we complemented it with a dessert.

Absolutely stunning food tonight. One gluten free diner which always causes issues… not here! Chicken supreme with fondant potatoes and the most amazing sauce, fabulous. Partner had the ‘normal’ steak and mushroom pie which he said was just delicious. I had Rhubard and apple crumble with custard again gluten free. Since I had to give gluten up this is the best desert I’ve ever eaten. Thank you chef, absolutely delicious food

Have had dinner here before and it has been v good, but this time there were several issues. A friend chose the flat iron steak, the steak was fine but the menu clearly says it comes with dressed watercress, this was completely absent. I had the pie of the day, the chicken pie. I knew this was a problem the minute I cut it opened. The general description of chicken pies says “ Chicken pie is a classic comfort food consisting of tender chicken, vegetables (like leeks, carrots, or peas), and a savory, creamy sauce encased in or topped with pastry.” When I cut my pie open dry cubes of chicken fell out, there was nothing else inside it. The meal came with a jug of gravy but even using all of this the pie was very dry, and the chicken cooked with no liquid, tasteless and tough. Later I noticed another diner with a pie and his looked equally bereft of a sauce so mine wasn’t just an unfortunate mistake. I would have sent it back but I just wanted to eat a nice meal with my friends, not have to explain to the pub staff their mistake. One of my friends chose the Lemon Meringue Cheesecake. This came with no meringue, lemon on the top and sponge and an odd mushy filling rather than cheese cake. The whole was a mixture of odd bits which didn’t really make a dessert. When asked how the dish was my friend replied ‘unpleasant’, as with the main course no-one asked how our meal was, and the barely touched cheesecake was cleared away without a comment. Considering the good meals I have previously enjoyed I probably will visit again, but any repeat of this experience and I will go elsewhere.

A really lovely room to reach after a long day walking with abundant toiletries, towels and tea and coffee. The staff were really friendly , including the patient and helpful waitress who was getting some grief from a rather entitled customer. Food was good rather than great but the 4 star rather than 5 star is because the rather small vegan breakfast came out with the main ingredient missing (sausages) and no toast - with no explanation and no substitution. On enquiry, the kitchen had run out (for an early breakfast sitting on Sunday morning). The waitress offered me toast when I pointed out the missing items. So nothing awful, nothing stellar, but a really nice room and available food.

The staff in all areas from Reception , bar. restaurant and room staff were all fabulous. It is one of the best coaching inns we have stayed in. Location was central for many of the tourist attractions. Would recommend and will be returning.

Very nice stay at the King William IV in Sedgeford. Nice place to stay close to many spots in North Norfolk such as Sandringham, Oxburgh Estate, Hunstanton beach, Sealife, and many other spots in the North Norfolk coast. Very good rooms, friendly staff, and in a very quiet spot of the county. We also had dinner at the restaurant downstairs which was very nice! We had a very pleasant stay!
