"Excellent Stay Near West Lake I recently had the pleasure of staying at one of the best hotels near West Lake, Hangzhou, and I must say, the experience exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional – especially thanks to Joyce at the front desk. Joyce was incredibly supportive, cooperative, and professional. She went out of her way to ensure I got the best room available, and her warm, welcoming attitude made the check-in process smooth and pleasant. Throughout my stay, she was always available to help with any questions or needs I had, making the entire experience feel personalized and comfortable. The hotel itself is beautiful – clean, modern, and just a short walk from the scenic West Lake. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and offer stunning views. The amenities are top-notch, and everything is managed with great attention to detail. This hotel is definitely worth every penny, not just for its prime location, but for the exceptional service, especially from staff like Joyce. I highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Hangzhou – you won’t regret it!"

"This hotel boasts a prime location, surrounded by various commercial complexes, making it a popular spot for tourists, and it's approximately 500 meters from West Lake. It's a family-friendly hotel, complete with a children's play area on the first floor. The facilities generally meet a 3-4 star standard; it would easily qualify as a 4-star hotel if it only had a swimming pool. We were incredibly lucky! We managed to book the very last room during the peak summer vacation when the hotel was completely sold out. As the basic rooms were unavailable, they generously upgraded us multiple categories to a family suite – much appreciated! **Facilities:** 1. The gym is rather compact, but the essential equipment is sufficient. It's a pity there's no swimming pool. 2. The rooftop provides pleasant views of West Lake and the surrounding mountains, but do note it gets locked after a certain time. 3. No mini-fridge in the room. 4. Features an automatic toilet seat, but unfortunately, there was an occasional odor from the bathroom drain. Hopefully, this can be addressed. 5. Light sleepers might find earplugs beneficial. **Hygiene:** Clean. **Environment:** While a bit dated, the room itself maintains a good overall condition and gives a 4-5 star impression. **Service:** The staff are friendly, but they appeared quite stretched and overwhelmed given how busy the hotel was."

"Even though it's an older hotel, it's incredibly well-maintained. What really stands out is how clean and quiet it is, ensuring I got a fantastic night's sleep. The staff were consistently friendly and always offered a warm greeting. A special mention goes to the hotel's laundry room; the detergent dispenser was spotless! This level of cleanliness really highlighted the hotel's quality compared to others. They contacted me before check-in to confirm my arrival time and thoughtfully had the AC running in my room already. Such a considerate gesture! Service was excellent, and the breakfast buffet was wonderfully generous. The location is fantastic – a mere 5-minute walk to the night market, and even closer to West Lake's iconic Broken Bridge. Getting to Hangzhou East Railway Station is incredibly convenient too, with a subway station right at the hotel entrance – just 5 stops, approximately 21 minutes. This was, without a doubt, the most satisfying hotel of my trip. In fact, it was so comfortable that I decided to extend my stay in Hangzhou by an extra day just to enjoy it a bit longer!"

"The hotel is well-located, and the service was decent. However, we noticed some black marks on the walls, and there was a fly in the room when we checked in. These issues slightly detracted from our overall experience. On a positive note, my child loved the bathtub, and we enjoyed the view of mountains and a pagoda right across. I hope the rooms will be more thoroughly inspected before the next guest's arrival."

"For our summer family vacation, the family room was fantastic; though not huge, it was very comfortable for our two-night stay. It's conveniently located, just a 10-15 minute walk from the scenic area, and much quieter than hotels situated right inside the tourist spot. There's a Luckin Coffee right downstairs and various dining options across the street. A thoughtful touch was the hotel providing an extra breakfast voucher for our second child, as we were traveling with two. The hotel was clean, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our child even found a small speaker in the room, just like the one at home, which brought a comforting sense of familiarity. The only minor downside was the wait for the laundry room, which took a bit of time. Despite that, our overall experience was still very positive."

"We have enjoyed our stay at the Zety Hotel very much (In Apple Maps it is called Zhenting Hotel). The staffs are all super friendly and they are also helping us with the laundry free of charge. This is really incredible. After our stay they helped us to book a Didi Taxi to the Longjing Tea Fields and guide us from the hotel to the Didi stop to ensure we will take the right taxi. The service there is same or even better than 5 Star international hotels where we have stayed a lot. The hotel‘s location is the best. Everything is reachable by walking distance. It feels like you are in the middle of the city (Hubin street). The west lake is nearby in walking distance. The rooms are also more than well equipped. They have a very cozy design, high quality equipments like shower and tapwarefrom the German brand Hansgrohe, toilet from American Standards, hairdryer from Dyson! And amenities from subbrand of Jo Malone. The hotel also pays attention to small details which makes the whole room very lively like the button to hang up your towel in the design of a bear paw which is also their mascots. Very lovely one. The breakfast was included and had everything for a quick and good start for the day. Taste was also good. I can fully recommend this hotel for everybody who wants to experience Hangzhou and has high expectation from service, location and room equipment."

"Best Location, most splendid view of West Lake and best service with the most competitive rate in Hangzhou. This hotel provides the most immaculate and attentive services one could desired. They also upgraded my room to the lake view room upon arrival and that was the best gift from the hotel. Their service standard is well on par or even higher than those branded hotels. They also provided little gifts for guest upon check- out and that was really thoughtful of them . Their location was perfect and they are just a stone’s throw from the unesco rated West Lake and Hubin Pedestrian Shopping Street. This hotel deserves more recognition and should be the top pick for guests coming to visit hangzhou and the West lake."

"Great location just 2-3mins walk from the lake. Room is equipped with a cozy bed and various amenities. Including an abundance of free drinking water. Hotel reception were all really nice and helpful."

"It was wonderful to check into the hotel in late evening.. almost club happy hour closing and be greeted by prosecco and fabulous fresh fruit and nut bread in the balcony and see photo 1. Wonder service..vg prosecco and the bread tastes slightly if long ging, dragon's breath tea. The staff went out of their way to keep the room at 19, which because the air con does not blow on the couch or bed. is 20 or 21.. with an extra blower in each room. Truly a kindness. But what sold, what makes it my hotel of choice is going to the elevator and seeing through double doors on the 6th floor a beautiful garden! Of course, overlooking Westlake! Breakfast was almond so all Chinese but still the wonderful bread and yes, a poached egg is possible, and nice cheese selection. Oh yes, bacon..but no one slicing a ham."

"## Environment Nestled on a small hill right by the West Lake scenic area, the guesthouse offers a tranquil retreat. The lane leading up has minimal traffic, ensuring a quiet night's sleep. The constant chirping of cicadas and lush greenery add to the ambiance, and the air conditioning in the room was very powerful. ## Facilities The guesthouse occupies a small four-story building, equipped with an elevator. The 'B' level features a courtyard, while check-in and the restaurant are conveniently located on the first floor. Our room had a smart toilet and a bathtub, with a separate shower area. I noticed there was also a swimming pool when I was leaving – a shame it wasn't open during our stay! ## Service The service was exceptionally warm and welcoming. As soon as we arrived, staff helped with our luggage and guided us through the property. Since we arrived early and our room wasn't ready, they graciously offered us a complimentary tea break in the restaurant. At breakfast the next day, they proactively helped us choose main dishes, made coffee, and recommended pastries. Despite it being a guesthouse, their Pian'erchuan noodles were absolutely delicious, with a wonderfully fresh and flavorful broth! The mini wontons were also a big hit, perfect for the kids. However, during booking, we were promised a complimentary tea break, dining vouchers, and a squirrel feeding experience. Unfortunately, we weren't reminded about these upon arrival 😅 I only remembered them late at night, making them unusable the next day. And sadly, we didn't get to see any squirrels either. ## Hygiene The room was spacious and very clean, though the duvet felt a little damp. Also, after my child walked around the room in socks, they turned black. Overall, it's a very comfortable guesthouse."
