Sonder the Broughton Apartments Historic District

Checking in at the beginning was a bit of a mess and there was no parking nearby, but the rooms were really spacious and seemed well kept. I guess that’s the trade off for a good price. The location was great. It it wasn’t so hot we could’ve walked most places we wanted to go. As it is, we still mostly walked places. The parking was all metered and we had to get up at 8 AM everyday, because it would only let you fill it for a certain amount of time. Not the best when you wanna sleep in. I book this room specifically for the location and to have access to a washing machine, so I was pretty happy with it. It was nice that one person could hang out in the living room and one in the bedroom to give each other a bit of space.

Terrible Experience Never Go Back Our apartment receives a grade of C for spaciousness and a grade of F for comfort and furnishing. The couch was terrible for sitting on—old uncomfortable and missing required cushion. The bathroom had nowhere to put your clean clothes for changing—no shelf or dry clean place. The building is really old and looks like it was barely renovated. There were homeless people hanging out at the front door when you exited. The front door of the building could not be opened most of the time because the security pad was not functioning and the back door (ally) was never locked—no security. The building is 100% not handicap accessible. Will never stay there again.

Don’t stay here DONT stay at any Sonder location! They are absolutely horrible. I had an emergency and needed to stay somewhere for the night. I made the reservation because it said it was available. I made the reservation around 6pm and didn’t get into my room until around midnight because they are completely remote and took hours to complete my verification and give me access to my room. They stopped communicating with me many times through the chat and no one answered the phone. I had to keep trying and was finally able to get into a room that was more expensive than the one I made a reservation for. They charged me for the upgrade and didn’t even tell me. I don’t understand why it said it was available if their usual process takes days for verification and room access.

Sonder was an excellent property, in a fantastic location to see all sites in Savannah. It was clean, spacious with an excellent kitchen. A free, short bus ride away to a Kroger supermarket.

Great location!!! Walkable to most attractions. Great value for where it’s located.

The room we were originally assigned was dirty when we arrived. We arrived at 630pm and check in was 4pm so no reason for a dirty room. It then took over an hour and being disconnected 3 times to get a new a room. Catherine was the only helpful agent we spoke to who got the matter sorted for us. Our new room was clean and spacious. Then when we went to check out we could not get into the luggage storage and that took two more phone calls. Overall not having someone on property is not helpful. They should also have a place to replenish towels
