St Brides Spa Hotel & Village Apartments

I have returned home from a one night stay at st brides on 22.6.24. Both myself and my partner stayed here to celebrate his 30th birthday. My honest opinion is that this hotel & spa is overrated by far. I’m not sure if it was just bad timing but the reception staff were very grumpy, basically made you feel like you were a nuisance staying at the hotel, not welcoming at all. The spa staff were even worse!! We were given a “tour” of the spa by a young member of staff who literally walked us down the stairs and stood there in silence staring at us, I then asked “soooo this is the spa isit?” To which she replied “yes” and just stared at me until I walked off, taking a look myself. One of the steam rooms were not in use (I was not told until I saw the sign on the steam room door). The tea and coffee was so poor! One hot water urn, one hot coffee urn, a massive fridge completely empty with a jug of milk inside, there were around 10 baskets underneath, all were empty? It was unreal how poor it was. We both left the spa early and sat in the bar to have a decent drink instead!! Our room was right by the kitchen so a constant smell of fish would circulate, no air conditioning, so very hot during the night. We discussed upgrading but it would have cost an additional £205! We cancelled our dinner reservations and went down to a restaurant by the beach, which was the best part of our stay. Breakfast was okay too. I would never recommend this hotel or stay here again.

We stayed five nights on B&B + evening meal in early June. From first contact (prior to reserving) through to departure everything went exceptionally well. The team are professional and with a genuine desire to help. The views from our room, from the restaurant and from the bar / lounge area are stunning. The room (a "best" room) was spacious, very well-appointed, clean and well-serviced during our stay. The coffee bags were a plus - Nespresso was provided but it's not our choice! Breakfast was a delight and with the restaurant facing the rising sun was an experience in itself - the cooked breakfast was excellent and the fried eggs consistently well done and soft. Dinner (included on our tariff) was great - three courses, not too heavy but very tasty. Coffee in the room and in the bar was top notch. We spent the mornings walking down to and across the beach, stopping at the Sails coffee shop. Afternoons followed the same pattern. The style is understated and very stylish - inside and outside seating areas most with view of the beach. I've never seen so many cleaners polishing glass screens, cleaning surfaces and the artwork and everyone say "Hello" with a smile. We can't find anything that wasn't top notch.

Room really clean. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were very polite and accommodating of my vegan needs. Gorgeous views overlooking the sea. The spa experience was good especially the availability of the ice fountain and cold showers. Had a three course vegan meal which was delicious and there was plenty of options for breakfast. Would recommend

I booked a Lavish Lunch and Lounge Spa package for myself and my Husband for his 60th birthday. The Spa is lovely with the outdoor, body temperature Infinity pool overlooking Saundersfoot Bay as the highlight for us. The Thermal suite rooms were divine. The only downside for us was that there were only 3 sun lounger type beds which were occupied for the whole time we were there (there are more outdoors for those visiting in the summer months) there are other sofa type seating areas and tea, coffee and water included in this area. Also the changing and shower areas are very small and can get very congested at times when people are arriving trying to get to lockers when others are trying to get their things to shower/change. The lockers are very small and cannot hold much so be aware not to bring too much with you (1 locker between 2 people). We had a 2 course Lunch included in our package in the Cliff Restaurant which was faultless. We would visit again as the pool was to die for and I could easily have spent the whole 90 minutes in there alone. Staff were very pleasant and attentive.

Absolutely amazing spa experience for all 3 of us - massage, facial and body scrub. Location is fantastic. Thank you Jane , Alison, Beth and Elleesha. Can highly recommend. The hydro area is perfect, overlooking Saundersfoot Bay. We will definitely be back

We visited the spa for an afternoon session (followed by afternoon tea). What a treat this was. The facilities are excellent and the staff are very attentive without encroaching on your me-time. This was my husband's first time visiting a spa and he was a little apprehensive initially as he isn't one to sit around doing nothing. I can honestly say that this was the most relaxed I've ever seen him and he's already planning another visit so I would say that speaks for itself! Huge thanks to Stacey and Emily for looking after us so well.
