Sapporo Excel Hotel Tokyu

The room was decent, quite spacious for Japan. It felt like an older, established star hotel, but the sink was incredibly low. At 185cm, bending over was really uncomfortable. The front desk staff's attitude was just okay. I'd give it a 4/10.

I was on a business trip that coincided with the Dragon Boat Festival, and it was a pleasant surprise! The room size, restaurant, and everything else were very satisfying. The only slight drawback was the location, which was a bit out of the way, but I guess that's why the price was so good. Highly recommend! I absolutely loved the ice cream at breakfast; it was so rich and creamy! A big thank you to the gentleman at the front desk who helped me switch to a quiet room; it was so peaceful!

Fantastic hotel! Breakfast starts at 6:30 AM, and there was a slight variation in the breakfast options over the two days. The room was incredibly spacious, with plenty of space to open multiple suitcases. The view was great, you could even see the Ferris wheel. Plus, it's just a few minutes' walk from the subway station.

I stayed here last March for a week to see the snow in Sapporo. This April, I returned for cherry blossom season and stayed here again. Every day, I went to Nakajima Park to admire the cherry blossoms – it was a feast for the eyes. The service, as always, maintained a high standard.

This hotel is great, right next to Nakajima Park. You can enjoy the Japanese garden, admire the cherry blossoms, and there's also a historic cultural heritage building. The rooms are quite spacious, and parking is very convenient.

Overall, for a price of just over 300, staying at a hotel of this caliber is pretty good, and it even includes breakfast. The only downside is that the breakfast selection is a bit limited, especially for Japanese dishes, and the menu didn't change at all over the two days I was there. It's an older hotel, so the facilities are a bit dated, but they are well-maintained.
