San Michel Hotel Reviews

The San Michel is a hotel where you immediately notice its age. But in no way does it fail to deliver what every good hotel offers: comfortable accommodations, a good bathroom (with hot water in the shower and sink), a comfortable bed, clean sheets and comforters, and extremely cordial service. The trip to the San Raphael for meals, even at night (dinner is paid separately), was safe and peaceful. The only thing to note (which isn't a negative, but something to keep in mind when booking): the air conditioning doesn't regulate by temperature degrees, but by intensity (low, comfort, and turbo).

If you just wanna take a rest in Sao Paulo for few nights. This place is valuable.

The hotel is nice, I only had a problem with the TV which had no sound. The rooms seem old, but everything else is okay.

The hotel isn't new, but it's cozy. I stayed for one night. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was okay, and the staff was pleasant.

Excellent option for those needing a place for connections at the capital's airports. Well-located hotel. Very clean and organized. I recommend it.

The building is old, but the rooms are quiet and comfortable. Breakfast is served at the sister hotel across the street. There are some homeless people around at night, so you need to be careful when going out. During the day, you can sightsee without any problems.

The hotel is well located, with a nearby subway station, which is convenient. I disagree with the 3-star rating; it's a 2-star at most. The facilities are very old. Upon arrival, the toilet flush didn't work, and I asked to change rooms. They said it wasn't possible and that they would fix it. They did fix it, but it only lasted a day, and the next day it didn't work again!! The television wouldn't turn on, and on the third day of my stay (the last, thank God), the bedside lamp also didn't work. There was no kitchen in the hotel; all meals were at the hotel across the street. They desperately need a substantial renovation.

Great value for money. We even received a room upgrade at reception. I had booked a room with two single beds, and the very friendly receptionist offered us a room with a double bed. The breakfast is wonderful, served at the hotel across from San Raphael. Although it is an old hotel that needs some adjustments, it was a great experience. I will definitely return because of the good service and good location, right in the center, for those attending events. For those arriving by car, the hotel has parking, at an additional cost.

🙁🙁🙁 The shower stall is tiny, I almost broke the glass wall trying to turn around while washing. In the hallway on the 4th floor there is a kind of hole in the wall with exposed moldy pipes. 🙂🙂🙂 The room was clean, had working air conditioning and a TV with not much choice. It has a small fridge to store personal purchases. The breakfast was very good, the only problem is to leave the building and go to a hotel across the street for breakfast. The receptionists were very respectful and professional. The hotel is located 500m from 2 metro stations and that helps a lot. Even if there are a lot of homeless people squatting on the sidewalks, there is a strong police presence which is reassuring. If all this suits you I recommend this low-cost hotel with all inclusive 👍🏾👍🏾

My interaction with the staff was exceptional. I was very well received and attended to by the staff at the hotel reception. They were always ready to clarify any doubts I had or meet any needs I might have. Everyone was very friendly and kind. The cleaning maintenance team in my room deserves praise. They cleaned, organized, and replaced towels and toiletries whenever necessary. Congratulations to everyone!

The service quality isn't the best, and the building itself is in very poor condition. The bathroom leaks water while you're showering, the shower sprays a lot, the water takes a long time to heat up, mold on the walls, and the elevator is scary to use. Unfortunately, it's the worst experience I've had in my time in the city.

The hotel is conveniently located, close to the metro station Respublika. Polite staff. Excellent breakfast. Will stay here next time.

I came to Sao Paulo by the first bus from Iguazu and stayed here. It is about a 30-minute walk from the bus terminal. There is a restaurant nearby that is a hangout spot for the local guys, and they will also help you store your luggage after check-out. Although they were a bit brusque, it was a good hotel. There was no rice for breakfast, but they had bread, fruit, salad, and other items. The shower was good and was enough for me.
