Our room was right by the pool with a very annoying repetitive musak played at pool area! The room smelt like urine! We asked for a different room and got the adjacent room which was better as far as the smell but same pool situation. We couldn't leave the curtains or qindows open due to heavy traffic around the pool and the annoying Tecno music playing constantly! The view of the pool to Caldera was amazing from the pool side but we couldn't enjoy it due to aforementioned reasons. The ”safe” deposit box in the room was detached from the wall, and the code would not work, so we had to get a key for it. The housekeeping was poor! When asking for an iron and ironing board, we were told the iron was busy in another unit and that instead of ironing board we should use a desk or sink counter!!! The included breakfast wasa glorified continental breakfast. We had hard time finding a staff member for a pot of hot water or utensils. There was a child sitting behind the counter playing with his tablet! Probably a place holder for one of the staff!!! The table bench covers were dirty and old!

We stayed at Grand view for our honeymoon, we had looked at pictures before hand and even tho they looked fantastic they don’t do it justice. We availed of the airport transfer that they offer and even tho our flight was delayed arriving our driver waited and greeted us with a big smile, he pointed out all the areas and villages as we drove the short distance to the hotel. Our bags were dropped to our room as we proceeded with our speedy and very informative check in. We were given a map of the island pointing out things to do where to go and how we could get there. We ate in the hotel on our 1st night and after trying several moussaka in various restaurants after this we determined that the hotel moussaka was definitely the best, we ate in the hotel each morning and loved the variety of breakfast options as well as eating there for lunch and again for dinner later on in our stay enjoy every meal as well as the large selection of cocktails they offer. Any evening we went out for dinner we made sure it was after sun set as the view of the sunset from the hotel will be on par with any other spot on the island. Chrisoula the hotel manager along with the rest of the team we dealt with went above and beyond to make our stay the special honeymoon we wanted and were extremely friendly. Coming from a chef and a baker who know the industry very well we would highly recommend the Grand View as a place to stay.

We have found that the Athermi suites is the best place to stay in Santorini because it has absolutely everything you would want for magnificent holiday. We booked the spectacular villa room with indoor swimming pool and views from floor to ceiling of the Aegean Sea and volcanic mountains although every room after speaking to other guest also have amazing vistas as well. The staff are absolutely outstanding, the service , the delicious food , the tour and local information help , all add up to an excellent holiday . We also enjoyed their private dining experience at Sunset which was truly magical ( you will have to book for this one ). So if you are looking for a place to really relax and enjoy a fabulous holiday Athermi Suites is a wonderful choice we will definitely be back .

We visited mid September with Jet2. Overall an excellent holiday, although we discovered that it is a very busy island, especially the main towns of Fira and Oia inundated with cruise ship holidaymakers. We knew that Santorini was expensive (and it is!) so we treated ourselves for our 60th birthdays. What we loved about the hotel: Small (15 rooms) in a quiet location; beautifully decorated & appointed rooms; Excellent service from the staff; amazing views; the free bus service to the lovely beach (and great beach club) and to Fira; beautiful village within close walking distance (10-15 mins) with excellent restaurants What we were not so impressed with: Pool area lacked shade. We appreciate that it can be a very windy location, but on calmer days they should put up more sail type shades. We would witness people trying to hide from the sun under tables or against a wall. Also we didn’t like the music blaring non stop. It was not suitable for a chilled vibe atmosphere - ‘driving home for Christmas’ being one of the pop songs! Suspect the music was played to try and create some form of atmosphere - but the lack of sun cover and incessant music kept us away. We had booked a first floor (top) room but were ‘upgraded’ to a ground floor room. Whilst it benefited from a small patio area overlooking the car park, you could hear people walking in the room above. I would have preferred our original room. For a Fireworks Festival Dinner we were told that the dining room was fully booked and that we would have to sit outside. Absolutely fine by us as the dining room is pretty basic, lighting too bright and again lacked atmosphere. However when we arrived at our appointed time, all the outside tables had been taken and we were shown a table inside. Guests who had booked the restaurant area had obviously decided to sit outside . Not impressed, although the staff did hastily move a table outside for us.

Wow what an absolutely gem. Where do I start? There’s so many positive things to say I don’t know where to start. My husband booked this hotel at the last minute a couple days before departure. The hotel organised our pick up from the airport which was a stunning brand new Mercedes luxury mini bus which had enough glitz and and glam to satisfy the Kardashian’s! Once arriving at the hotel, the reception staff made us feel very welcomed with lots of information about the hotel and local area. To our surprise the hotel run a free service to and from Fira which is an added bonus as we knew we were a 30 minute walk away. Then we were taken to our room by a lovely man who carried out super heavy luggage down the steps to our room. Wow, the view was amazing. The room was spacious clean and fresh with a lovely bed bigger than two doubles pushed together. The bathroom had a rainfall shower with a handset built into an alcove which maybe tricky if your over 5’7! But don’t let that put you off, the views from every angle of the hotel more than make up for it. Breakfast was included which was simple but to a high standard nothing pre packed all fresh. The waiters were fantastic full of energy and knowledgeable. We booked our first evening meal at the hotel and the quality was amazing everything was done to a high standard. The only disappointment was we simply didn’t book longer. If your thinking of booking please do you won’t be disappointed.
