Amaya Selection of Villas

When we headed to the villa indicated on the map, we found ourselves at the reception of another villa. We were told that our villa wasn't there, and a staff member from the other villa informed us. A staff member from our villa came to meet us, but they were covered in paint. We couldn't believe they were staff, so we declined their offer and tried to find our way ourselves. We communicated via WhatsApp, and they suggested we meet 15 minutes away. We were stranded in an unfamiliar place when the same staff member came again to meet us and escorted us to our room. We arrived at our room an hour after arriving at the initial location. The room we were shown was completely different from the pictures and image. It was a maisonette type with three beds (for a couple), a terrible sewage smell, a half-empty bottle of welcome wine, and an uncleaned-looking coffee maker. The terrace, which we had imagined to be spacious and open, was small with a worn-out table and chairs. Our expectations were greatly dampened. A staff member kindly came over later to check on us, and when we explained that the room didn't match the image in the photos, they explained that since there are 13 buildings, not all of them will be exactly as pictured. We weren't satisfied, so they showed us other rooms, and the room they showed us was closer to the image we had in mind, so we changed rooms. However, even in this room, the bathroom was flooded, the bathrobes were missing their ties, the water mentioned in the room guide wasn't provided, and the jacuzzi, which we were told would warm up after an hour, was still cold even after four hours of being out. It remained cold until morning. We had requested water at breakfast, but there wasn't any, so we had to ask again and they brought some. The view from the terrace was fantastic, and the location was great, just a few minutes' walk from Three Domes and Oia Castle. The staff were kind and helpful with our problems, which was great. Although check-out was at 11am, we were allowed to check out at 12:30pm, which was also nice. After checking out, we were able to leave our suitcases in our room, and they were brought to our meeting place at the time of our departure.

First of all, I'd like to thank Mr. Johnny, who was attentive to our well-being throughout our stay at the villa. His service was excellent: he kindly provided us with information on the highlights, including recommended restaurants and nearby points of interest. The room was very comfortable, spacious, and had a welcoming atmosphere, ideal for relaxing. Furthermore, the views were simply wonderful, a real bonus that enhanced our experience. Regarding breakfast, I believe there is room for improvement in all aspects, both in variety and quality. Despite this minor issue, I would recommend this accommodation without hesitation. The overall experience was very positive, and I would definitely return.
