Holiday Inn HUATULCO by IHG

Hotel is located in the city centre of Santa Cruz area which is a short walk to the beach. It is surrounded by cafe, restaurants and local stores to shop. Hotel staffs are super friendly and helpful despite our limited spanish - they will try their best to accommodate your needs and answers your questions. It costs about 40 - 50 pesos to downtown (you can choose to walk too but we find it too hot for us). Personally, we find that the area is very safe and pleasant - unlike other larger touristy city, vendors are less pushy and very respectful and give you the space to shop.

Staff was amazing. pool is small and in a bad location. I have been coming here twice a year the last 3 years due to the location of hotel to everything. weight room air conditioning has not work during the time we are here. very hot in the room and 30 minutes of working out becomes unbearable. they always say it will be fixed in the next couple of days, HA!! I think that's how they save money by not running the system. Breakfast was always very good, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. one thing on our last stay is that are balcony was 4 pigeons that were pooping all over chairs and rails. cleaning people ignored our request to clean it. (only once in 8 days did, they cleaned the balcony) just a few things they need to improve and I would give them a much higher rating.

From the time you step to reception on arrival until they take your cards at the end.. all staff are very helpful and cheerful ...we found more spoke English this year... Breakfast buffet always good with different options to eat (we had breakfast included daily).. room always cleaned before 11.. this is our 6th time staying here...love you all.. until next year... Great location, easily walkable to town and marina for tours and taxis. We enjoyed the bar, restraunt and the pool albeit on the smaller size. Room is a great size, great AC and the bed was comfortable.

Great location and nice rooms. Nice pool with a good bar and food. Enjoyed our stay and the people that worked there.

Wi fi is not strong enough to reach all the rooms. So you may or may not have it. IT said we were connected but we could not reach any websites and the tv could not be connected to the wifi.

This is a very clean, well run hotel - nothing fancy, but well worth the price. The staff is very friendly and efficient. I recommend the breakfast buffet to start your day!
