This is a great under the radar spot. It is safe, clean, and inexpensive. It made a great home base for forays in and out of the LA area and I recommend it for others for the same use.

Stay was about as expected for being the cheapest place around. There was one towel, that we luckily didnt need, that had some sort of residue or stain on it. I set it aside and notified them at checkout the next morning.
There were a number of areas that clearly needed some TLC (bad grout or bad paint jobs that time was not friendly too) but shower was hot and bed was moderatley comfortable. Check-in was fairly quick as well. It was hard to miss the road noise that previous reviews mentioned. However, it wasn't as bad as expected, perhaps because we stayed during the week.
Overall, we got what we paid for. Its a simple, no-frills establishment that fit our needs of a place to sleep the little amount of time we were actually there. Had we planned to spend more time in the room, we probably would have gone with nicer place.

There was plastic left from before my boyfriend and i got there. Not only that, but when he and I were doing our normal inspection for bugs we found USED BANDAIDS under the bed frame. There was also no latch on the door which would have made us feel much safer. The drain of the tub was broken, the power cord situation was a mess, and was just overall nowhere near what we thought it was going to be.

Nice place for this price range. Everything is clean, bedding is very comfortable. The property is well-maintained. I recommend Santa Clarita Motel.

Talk about a gem of a hotel, the room was in emaculate condition, service was top notch, and i slept like a baby every night. Definitely check this place out if your ever in the Santa Clarita location.
