The suite I booked turned out to be just a big bed and a small folding bed, maybe my understanding is different. But the front desk changed me to two big bed rooms, which was not bad. Downstairs is the bar street, which is quite interesting to stroll around.

The hotel is almost 100 years old and it's still great because it's been refurbished and well maintained. The main entrance of the hotel is on the pedestrian street, and along the street are restaurants, bars and shops, which is very convenient. It is only ten minutes walk to the famous Stearn Wharf, and the location is excellent. The only downside is that the room is small. But in downtown, this is already very good 😀

Hotel Santa Barbara is a beautiful historical hotel. The minute you walk in, you can feel how special it is.
Updated rooms still hold charm, with very comfortable beds. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Santa Barbara.

The music was super loud but that we could not sleep. I may as well have slept outside. So expensive for the worst hotel ever!!!!

We stay here a few times a year. Looks like they’ve spruced up and added some goodies to the room. It’s always been nice and comfortable. Convenient and near restaurants and bars. Great location. A+

Hotel is old. Did not meet my expectations. Old furniture. Small rooms. Old elevator.. I get the idea of trying to conserve history but it was a little underwhelming.

We loved the beauty of the hotel, it's convenient location and the beautiful Christmas decorations. The Christmas cookies were a very nice and delicious touch! The staff was super friendly from the front desk to the valets/bell hops. The room decor and appointments were lovely and we enjoyed the quality of the products. Also, it was wonderful how accommodating everyone was with our 2 dogs. We look forward to coming back for another stay.

Friendly and efficient staff (thank you for lending me an umbrella so we could get to dinner and avoid getting soaked in the downpour!). Nice, clean lobby with coffee and/or ice water available. Excellent location for walkable dining & Starbucks next door; also a car rental place just a block away. Shower was a little confusing at first, but worked just fine (though the bathroom light has a motion sensor that goes off after some # minutes, which could leave you in the dark). I would stay there again. Beds were comfy & had plenty of pillows.
