This is a great hotel, wonderful staff. Not too expensive at all, great value for money. Nothing is too much trouble, a lovely resort area, Fantastic management staff Superb food - great value for money - superb chef. brilliant bar staff - no crazy hotel prices either - also good for kids, families business the lot

We were at Alpenland for 4 nights during the fall break and had a wonderful relaxing stay! Our room had a little kitchenette with a table day we were easily able to prepare snacks or lunch and the table gave us lots of space to play games. We had the half-board option and thoroughly enjoyed the many options at the breakfast buffet from fresh made omelettes and whole grain bread from a local bakery to fresh fruit and pancakes. The dinner menus always had so many good options we had trouble deciding! My personal favorite was the venison served with dumpling, red wine pear and cranberries! The hotel is located close to the city center and a mall, which offers lots of shopping possibilities close by. We also enjoyed the many hiking paths that start directly in St. Johann. For kids there are several play grounds and a great "motorik park" not far from the hotel. The pool and sauna area are also great! We left feeling very pampered and relaxed!

On arrival, a pleasant greeting at reception. All the staff are very helpful and professional. Room was comfortable with a great view of the mountains. Food was very good and a wide selection. The hotel was very clean and tidy throughout. Ski room like the rest of the hotel is very good.

We were very happy to find the place for the big family where the expectations of everyone were fulfilled . Our children were waiting for the swimming pool , my father - for the balcony , my mom - for the recreation area around the hotel, and for me was important to have a good food for the family. We took 2 rooms with additional sofa for kids. It was clean and well equipped with big wardrobes . One of the rooms was bigger and had more space . It was very nice when the sofa was folded and children had enough space to play. However it would be better to make family rooms with two separate rooms , especially wenn the price is so high. For one night we paid approximately 480€ (2 adults and 1 child). What else - it was great to seat in the evening in front of the fireplace playing chess or drinking tea. But it was unusual to find the kid’s room just in the near of reception on the ground floor . And it was not so tidy and attractive (only few pencils with paper, because my girls love drawing it was nothing for them to do there). All in all we were satisfied with our vacations because we were together with family and dog. And the food in restaurant was various every day. Thanks a lot for ladies on the reception who were very patient and friendly as well as for manager and waiters in the restaurant.

In particular, I appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of all the hotel staff. To begin with, the one at the reception desk. The reception point and the common areas are very elegant and functional. High quality and availability regarding breakfast and restaurant service, including staff employed. The cleaning and tidying up of the room are impeccable Perhaps, there is only one negative judgment I can make and it concerns the sauna and gym areas lacking. They are a bit aged and need some renovation.

nice property and great location. Wonderful team and helpful team particularly Gona. The view was stunning, but rooms were average, however, clean and have basic necessary utilities. Staff was extra helpful and cheerful all the time.

The hotel had clean, updated rooms, and public spaces. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The breakfast was fantastic, but I didn't have dinner so can't comment. Nice pool and hot tub. I didn't use the other spa areas.

This resort was just wonderful… from the staff, to the delicious breakfast, the room, and the pool! We can’t wait to return to Alpenland St. Johann! Just 50 minutes - 1 hour 15 minutes south of Salzburg by train!

Incredible location, fabulous scenery, excellent food. Easy to use rail for reaching outlying towns. Zell Am See was 40 minute rail journey spent a whole day there exploring. We walked around St Johann im Pongau even though the roads are steep. Amazing Yvonne and Nev
