Double Bed was to big for the room. Had trouble getting in it as gap each side was less that a foot wide. Lots of black mould in the shower, never a good look. Room very dated with odd decor and colour scheme. Mattress was sloped to the point you virtually roll out the bed. Very overpriced room and didn't get what the website was offering room wise.

No dogs after 9. Toilet ceiling height is dangerous. Landlord absent. Staff nice but under orders so will never go in there again. Use new inn, market inn, red cow but avoid this dump. I live in sandwich and have many friends here, I will endeavour to make people aware that this pub needs avoiding.

Booked Christmas Day lunch on the premise that gluten free options were made available from the set menu. Several emails were sent to proprietor reaffirming this. On the day we arrived again we reaffirmed gluten free. Eat starter, then main course arrived only to find half through it that it wasn't gluten free, meal taken away. Dessert arrived and again asked if it was gluten and answer was yes. Halfway through once again waiter came over and said it wasn't gluten free. I was unwell with severe stomach cramps and upset stomach, most unpleasant and detrimental to my overall health. Needless to say it ruined the main event and to top it off my complaint went unheard and no follow up from management. Unprofessional to say the least.

The Hotel and venue was good but due to the age of the hotel the rooms could do with some tlc - the bed was confortable - the food was good. The hospitality was good.

We just popped in for a lunchtime drink. This time we weren't looking to eat however they do serve food. It was a nice friendly place and the staff were equally as friendly. Our dog was also made welcome and a bowl of water was provided for him. Nice touch.

All fine. Friendly reception, very decent breakfast, all satisfactory. Very central if you want a look around Sandwich.

Came here for a one night stay with a friend. The bar itself is a typical English pub, offering a wide range of drinks and a food menu if you’d like to eat. The service behind the bar was quick and efficient and the check in process was super easy. If you go out and come back late when the pub’s closed, there’s an option to go through another entrance to get to your room. The room itself was small, slightly dated and not the cleanest. But that wasn’t too much of an issue as we were only there for one night and for £48 for two people, including breakfast you can’t go wrong! There’s live music on Friday and a Saturday between 9 - 11:30, so if you have to get up early for whatever reason, make sure you bring ear plugs or choose somewhere else. The breakfast was slightly slow considering it wasn’t particularly busy but everything was piping hot, good quality and decent sized portions. Overall, a comfortable room, on the Main Street of Sandwich with a pub on your ‘door step’.

Ideal location in the town centre. Staff very friendly and food was very nice! Will definitely stay again!

Had lunch here with my partner for the first time. We were greeted with wonderful staff and smiles! We sat down and our drinks order came swiftly, the coffees were delicious. We ordered 2 starters of breaded chicken *****es and mussels! The amount of mussels I got was unreal! I’ve never eaten so many the sauce they came in was lovely but the cubed onions were a bit hard still. We then ordered the fish of the day and the Sunday roast! Both were delicious and well cooked you got so much food for your money! I would defiantly come here again for food and drink! Next time I’ll treat myself to a pudding! I would highly recommend eating here especially if you are looking for good food at a fair price! 10/10!
