We had a wonderful stay. The rooms and common areas were clean, and there's a kitchen available for guests to use. Plus, there's a lovely rooftop terrace with hammocks and a sea view.

Convenient location, walking distance from a shopping center and the heritage trail, Little HK, etc. Rooftop terrace also has a sea view, though can get a bit loud because of the nearby establishment. Room was basic but clean. Comes with basic breakfast which is also convenient (bread + jam).

A friendly clean hotel in a good location in the town centre. The staff were very helpful. They offered laundry and help with booking any trips. However, it is advertised that a simple breakfast is included with a picture of some hard boiled eggs, bread, bananas and spreads. When we went to have our first breakfast, there was nothing apart from 2 loaves of bread and a few spreads (butter/fruit jams to choose from) so we were pretty disappointed. This needs to be updated as it is misleading.

Suitable for the type of stay... I'd only say the mattresses are in poor condition, very thin foam, so you end up sleeping on a plank... otherwise, everything was perfect!

Awesome place with cool stories painted and written on the walls . The 4th floor has a sea view that generally comes with 3 star hotels

Was good for the price, nothing too special as it had writings all over the walls and stuff was more of a quirky backpacker vibe than something for a family but we enjoyed it

cool interior however just a little dirty but bed is fairly comfortable

The place is perfect for short stays and arranging tours, good prices.

Looking from the outside, it's not impressive. That is because the town Sandakan is not particularly a clean looking tidy town. However once inside the hostel, everything is well organized. There are regulations for the guests to follow, doing so keeps the place tidy, clean and comfortable for all staying there. For example, taking iff shoes at demarcation points, yes! If everyone does this, the parts without shoes remains clean from the street dirt. The bed is comfortable, but i found the pillow very hard and a bit high to sleep on. The bathrooms are well supplied and clean with hot water. The air conditioning works well in the bedroom. Inclusive is breakfast, with eggs and toast . The staff are super nice, answering all questions about sights to see, and even helping me set up an APP for taxi rides. One thing I found confusing is the many staircases to different parts if the hostel, but I got familiar with these after a while.

Lovely Hostel, one of the best I have been in a while. Service was real good and the everything close by.

Really great program. Cheap, but clean with knowledgeable guides. Highly recommend this experience to see wildlife.

Toilets need to revamp and improve the facilities. The mattress that I slept in, sink in the centre. But the location is beautiful where you can have food easily. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The room is fine, but the bathroom was pretty underwhelming.  They had a pretty rooftop with sea view though
