Lazuli Resort

San Vicente
We enjoyed our stay in Lazuli immensely. Since we went after the Holy Week, we and another couple virtually had the resort all to ourselves. The rooms were large, clean and well apportioned. The room they gave us had a queen sized bed and 2 single beds on the ground floor and another 2 single beds in the loft. There was even a small living room. The mattresses were firm and did not sag so we all had a good night's sleep. The beach fronting the resort was the main attraction. It was wide and consisted of fine white sand. On the first day the sea was a bit rough but calmed down to a ripple for the rest of our stay. We enjoyed walking along the long coastline. The adjacent properties were owned by locals or private resorts so the crowd was sp****. We ate breakfast and dinners in their restaurant. The food was good. The menu was a mix of native and italian. I would imagine it would be too small if the resort is fully booked but an extension is being built already to address this. The restaurant was not airconditioned but the area was breezy. There was no entertainment during our stay but i understand there is a small band that plays during the peak season. The resort has a 15 meter pool. Maintained and cleaned daily. We took dips innthe evening. What we really enjoyed were the tours that we arranged through the resort. On our first day we took a day tour to various sites. We ate lunch at Long Beach resort then proceeded to Bigaho falls. We had a small hike to the falls and, finding it clean and inviting, we swam in the falls' pool. It was a shivering but exciting experience. We finished the day by going to San Vic Viewpoint, a high point where we had a spectacular bird's eyeview of Palawan's long and white coastline. On our second day, we arranged for a boat and went island hopping. The friendly boatmen brought us to areas where we snorkelled and marveled at undersea corrals and fish habitats. We transferred to another fish habitat which is famous for its sea turtles and, there, took our time snorkelling to watch them. We also went to a sandbar that jutted in middle of the sea and swam. When lunch came, the boatmen brought us to a beach equipped with nipa huts and, while we lounged, they cooked and served us native food and fruits. Our stay in Lazuli together with the sightseeing and swimming really gave us a restful yet exciting stay in San Vicente.

Holiday Suites Port Barton

San Vicente
TripAdvisor usually steers me straight, but I couldn’t believe what I was seeing when we walked past the Holiday Suites and saw only one 2-star review. It’s a new hotel (2021) and there’s only one review (as of this writing), which is why it didn’t make my original screen when looking at Port Barton options on TripAdvisor. After a room tour and a drink on the covered patio we switched out of our non-refundable place down the beach for our remaining two nights in Port Barton. This place is a gem! It’s Filipino-owned but set up like a Western-style accommodation (to this westerners eyes, anyways). Very sleek and modern. Exceptionally clean, crisp room with AC, Wi-Fi, TV, tea kettle, safe and a mini-fridge. Excellent bedding, glass shower doors, a gorgeous infinity pool with outdoor showers, palm tree swings over the crashing waves, top notch lounge chairs, outdoor fairly lights and so far delicious - and generously-portioned - food. I’m not sure if it’s COVID related or not, but this place should be a lot more expensive, or it’s peers should be a lot less expensive. No comparison to what we were staying at/paying at prior to moving. Port Barton itself is very chill and laidback, so this oasis of modernity might not be what you’re looking for, but it sure was for us. A perfect way to end our two week stay in Palawan and the Philippines. Absolutely amazing country and the people we’ve met have been the epitome of gracious and kind. Salamat po! (Hope I spelled that correctly)

Hotel Oasis Port Barton
4.3/55 Reviews
We had such a great stay here. The breakfast was excellent, particularly enjoyed their garlic rice and fish danggit. Pancakes were also tasty, loved the cinnamon syrup! Also the best calamansi juice we had. The staff are so lovely and helpful. They helped us book island hopping very late when we arrived, helped us book a transfer car with our late arrival in Puerto Princesa, helped us hire a moped and also a tuk tuk several times. The hotel's moped is in great condition as are the helmets, and the tuktuk driver is excellent and drives skilfully and safely. Thanks to the concierge who gave us honest advice about whether we could drive ourselves or get a tuktuk to the various beaches we chose to visit throughout our stay. The hotel environment is also great, and so close to the beach which is lovely, but also situated slightly back so it's peaceful. Totally recommended!

Very nice place the facilities were very clean and the service was amazing people were very kind. The food was outstanding I recommend the chicken san Vicente. Although there is nothing to do around bc is a very small town the hotel gives you the island hopping, massages and the beach which you could enjoy, good place to relax for a weekend.
Le Cou de Tou Village Resort

The bamboo bungalow in which we stayed for a week was comfortable, spacious, clean and beautiful. The bathroom was amazing with all the different inlaid stones . . . an acupressure treatment for your feet. The cold-water shower took some getting used to. The bed was comfortable but we needed to wear ear plugs to sleep, as the walls were thin and we could hear people talking, dogs barking and roosters crowing, among other things. The fan was great for moving the air around, but you had to be a giant to reach the controls. The breakfast was basic: a fried egg with 2 pieces of toast, a banana and super yummy brewed Swedish coffee. We supplemented the breakfast with sweet buns from the bakery around the corner. The Filipina co-owner and her staff were friendly and helpful, always available to chat or provide local travel advice. We booked a wonderful island-hopping tour, a motorbike rental and a van trip to Puerto Princesa thru the resort. We loved the one-eyed calico cat who lived there. It visited us every time we sat out on our deck. If the resort had high-speed internet, warm water and aircon, we would have stayed even longer.
Ausan Beach Front Cottages

This is our favorite place in Port Barton. Everything is still perfect from swift check in, dinner and breakfast. We wanted to try other restaurants there too but we always crave for Ausan's food, the serving is generous and the price is very affordable. The people are so friendly and attentive. Rooms are always clean with the hot shower that will give you the best feeling after your cold swim from the sea. Will definitely come back.

Marina 4Rooms

San Vicente is a beautiful town and Long beach is just spectacular. Me and my girlfriend spent 3 weeks in the Philippines and this was one of our favourite spots, especially thanks to Marina 4rooms. The staff couldn’t be nicer. Suzanne was extremely helpful and accommodating throughout our entire stay. The room was very clean an comfortable as advertised. The beautiful rooftop terrace and restaurant has the best view for sunsets and the owner, James, made us the most AMAZING authentic Italian meal which was a real treat. We can’t recommend this place highly enough!
