We recently stayed at the Belize Budget Suites on Ambergris Caye. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The grounds were well kept and the ownership/staff were responsive and friendly. The location, as stated, in a residential community, was several miles from the frenetic nature of San Pedro, something we welcomed. Lucinda, Jose and Miriam were all friendly and run an excellent accommodation, beginning with emailing very complete and useful info. Rather than renting a golf cart, we used taxi services of Sponge---501-623-0692, who was wonderfully responsive, informative and accommodating, less the stress of downtown San Pedro golf cart "swarming" and parking.

Excellent. Suite was large with a very quiet and comfortable bed. Quiet area outside the main section of San Pedro. Jose was particularly helpful in sharing his local knowledge, especially his suggestions for small places to eat. The owner was very helpful in arranging tours and transportation.

The staff was very small, personal and responsive. Rooms were unique and very convenient to walk to the beach, food. Staff arranged for golf cart rental delivered and arranged to pick it up at the water taxi when we left. Room had a kitchenette.

I had a wonderful stay. The property manager was the sweetest , so helpful and friendly. Can’t beat the price. However, location was a bit far from town. Definitely need a golf cart or taxi driver willing to pick you up and drop you off.

I was on the Internet, looking for a place, and the grounds at Belize Budget Suite looked so lush and tropical, I was immediately taken. Upon arriving at the facility it did not disappoint. It’s just as beautiful as the picture on the internet. The staff and owner is so warm and friendly, they aim to please! it is very clean and the kitchen has all the essentials. I would not hesitate to come back for a return visit.

Highly Recommend Belize Budget Suites . Lucinda , Jose n Marian make you feel like home . The property is beautiful, clean n safe . The suites are clean and have a homie feel to them , lotsa hot water. Read the binder for the suite , very informative. Great place to stay n I will be back .

The big iguanas in the trees were a daily fascination!! The owner, Lucinda, was gracious,Jose and Miriam, the property managers were always available for help, a chat, advice and directions. Jose even built me a stepstool to get into the golf cart since im still recovering from hip replacement. We met the neighbor and learned about the different cultures in Belize, joined him fishing and dined on the redsnapper catch. Weve rarely experienced such friendly, and contented islanders!! Thank you Belize Budget Suites for a great birthday trip.

Probably pretty quiet normally, though when I was there they had construction going on in the room next door. That produced a lot of noise and suggested the walls were pretty thin.
The owners / managers were quite friendly.
The location is the challenge - the streets of San Pedro are neglected, potholed, cobble-stoned atrocities. Riding bicycles or golf carts on them is jarring and very uncomfortable. And it's a ten or fifteen minute cart drive from this hotel to pretty much anything in San Pedro - potentially much more, for things on the other side of the town.

Jose and his wife were super friendly and helpful. The hotel is very cute and you have all the basic necessities in your little apartment. Room was clean and had AC. San Pedro is very busy so it was nice to stay in a quieter area that was still close enough to walk to the town centre and very close to the beach. Would recommend!
