Hotel was nice, clean & modern. Staff are very friendly. Rooftop infinity pool & bar are very nice. Great view of the water. We had the continental breakfast each morning. Kiara, our server, has a great personality & was very attentive. Location is very walkable; we just use Uber if we go out of the area & loved not having the stress of driving or finding parking, which is very limited in Okd San Juan. We would not recommend renting a car as there is no valet or self parking at this hotel.

The staff were more than helpful, from the second we walked in Lewis immediately greeted us with drinks (free open bar) and gave us great tips on how to start our vacation. Also the communication between staff was top notch! I will most definitely be staying here again when I visit back.

Location: Beyond excellent - right by the convention center and in the same building as the T-Mobile Entertainment District... Metro ******, probably the best ****** for miles, right around the corner. Easy access to El Escambron Beach and Old San Juan/Condado district. Lots of food options within steps. Staff: Friendly and efficient staff. The WXYZ and Splash Bar area get the gold star for team work. Check in was a little disappointing, the old early arrival, we will call you but you don't get a call either way routine. Rooms- clean, A/C worked properly. Ask for a room facing the Convention Center as the other side faces T-Mobile District which always has loud music and crowds. Rooms are starting to show their age...but standards Aloft room is the norm here. Pool - 3rd floor outdoor pool not standard hotel size, but adequate. Great views. Gym - above average, free weights a huge plus... water dispenser. Resort Fee - The rooms aren't exactly cheap here and even though the additional $35 destination fee per room (payable at check-in) is an incredible bargain given the amenities and conveniences offered, I think it should be optional rather than mandatory. When you pay top dollar for a room and extra fee is just a nuisance. Worse, it may make you consider a different hotel next time.

It was an excellent hotel. The front desk staff was extremely helpful—a special thanks to Alejandra and also to a young guy (how I wish I would remember his name) at the concierge desk- who made my trip memorable by guiding me to do some fun things on this short trip.

The second hotel of choice for San Juan, Hyatt Place is a business hotel across the street. Closer to the Old Town of San Juan, less than ten minutes by car. There are not many places to eat around the hotel, but there is a big WalMart in a six or seven minute drive. The room has a kitchenette, tableware and pots, and condiments are simple in configuration.
The hotel is relatively new, the environment is not large and delicate, the swimming pool is relatively small behind the hotel, other entertainment gyms, and game rooms are also available. Parking is relatively large, around $ 16 a night.
Good breakfast, although not many varieties, but clean. The overall cost is relatively expensive, and various taxes are equivalent to about 3500 a night when checking out, which is not cost-effective.

More of a 4.5 out of 5 but I didn't have that option. The hotel was very pretty, great lobby ( mixed emotions about the caged birds but I don't know their story so---) , great bar, friendly service, good food options although way over priced and just ok, not amazing. Although the Puerto Rican restaurant on the property Mojitos had great drinks and the friendliest service. We preferred eating here over the other on property restaurants but still over priced. I suggest eating every meal off property. Now that we know there isnt anything special about the on property restaurants, thats what we'll do next time. Getting an Uber is very easy and you're a very short ride from a huge number of restaurants. I posted some Google reviews of our dining experiences but i'll post some here, too. The hotel location is great, right on the beach and 10 minutes from Old San Juan. We had a beautiful view of the beach, ocean and amenities from our room. Loved the little balcony. I think most, if not all rooms have a balcony. The elevators were very fast, we were in the 9th floor. This may not be a big deal but even though those days are over for me , i remember long waits at slow elevators with wet, tired little ones, not fun. The time of year we went was perfect (late August) after thr high season, so no huge crowds. We were able to enjoy the hammock ”park” on the property and find chairs on the beach in a great spot. Speaking if the beach, if you're looking for waves you're not really going to get them. There's a man made rock border to prevent what looked like could be some pretty intense waves were in not for that barrier. The beach is kind of a calm bay but it's nice. A beautiful blue and watching the waves crash against the rocks is a great sight to see. Exploring Old San Juan was awesome. The beautiful colors, the architecture, the history, the narrow streets, it really takes you on a journey. Great shopping and besides the touristy t shirt places, there were plenty of great artisan shops. Old San Juan is still recovering from hurricane Maria (I know - it's crazy) so there are lots of streets undergoing road construction and some businesses that are shuttered but the construction doesn't get in the way and there are a shops and restaurants galore. The construction does mean sometimes you have to maneuver to avoid closed sidewalks and may be walking under scaffolds but sort of like any major city undergoing construction because of growth, not disaster. We visited two of Old San Juan's forts (look like castles) Castillo San Cristobal & Puerta de San Juan. You get two great walks through old San Juan to both of them. All uphill to Puerta de San Juan bur a good uphill, not so strenuous that you don't enjoy the actual walk. It was pretty hot so luckily, there were plenty of places to choose from if you want to stop and have a refreshment or lunch. It's pretty easy to get turned around on the narrow, intersecting streets but just keep your tourist map handy. T

The Hotel is beautiful and for the price of a basic room, we had a view of the beautiful lagoon, with a balcony and privacy. The only thing they should consider is parking because we had to pay $20 a day :-(. Paseo Caribe offers a quiet and safe area, has security guards, and you can walk quietly around the area. You have nearby restaurants, steps from the Caribe Hilton Hotel, and steps to the Escambron area where the beach is beautiful and the day and night walk is beautiful. If you are looking to stay in this area without paying so much, this is a good option. The price they put is not that, the rate is lower. I paid $ 116 per night and my room was the Executive Room. They comply with health regulations, have staff checking the temperature, and the use of a mask. It offers many areas to walk, enjoy as a family or as a couple, and despite the Covid-19 they offer different ways to be able to walk and enjoy a beautiful tourist area [Fortín de San Jerónimo del Boquerón] Spacious room and the bathroom was huge as well!

When staying at Double Tree By Hilton San Juan, my hubby and i had the best experience ever. I don’t know why anyone would ever disagree. The staff was friendly, the entire area was clean and COVID friendly, and there was even daily complimentary water and transportation to the beach which is within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel even offers beach towels, beach chair, and an umbrella! I had a blast!

GGuest UserIts a very clean hotel with many places to eat within walking distance as well as a movie theater, grocery store, and pharmacy down the street. It has a nice restaurant and rooftop pool that is very relaxing. The room was clean and had an ice maker, large sink and refrigerator. The only things I would improve are the lighting in the rooms - its somewhat dim if you need to do some work - they only have lamps and one small accent light in the ceiling - at least in the room I was in. The bathroom sink in my room was very small- couldn't hold toothbrush, razor, etc on it like most sinks. Those are small inconveniences - overall it's a very nice place to stay, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the location was great.
兔兔兔猴Ctrip is also enough. Originally, I had already set a room on Booking. I saw that Ctrip was a lot cheaper, and I retired the Booking. However, the so-called sea view room that was given to the store through Ctrip is a room in a room, and the TV wall of the other room is the bedside of our room. The TV and other sounds in the next room are clearly heard, which seriously affects sleep. The next day, I can only change the room. It is not the balcony room with sea view. I had tossed for a long time before and after changing rooms, and I was still in a bad mood. At the same time, the check-out also received a 142 knife ”Hotel Tax”. This tax order is not available, can you return it?
CCulture63106883009We enjoyed our stay at Fortaleza suites and would recommend the hotel. The A/C was a bit noisy, but we had a nice, spacious room with a great location right in Old San Juan. Our room was called the ”Fortaleza Suite Room” and was a nice, clean, big space with tall ceilings. Beds were comfortable. A/C worked well but was noisy (see below). Bathroom: nicely appointed but a little dark. Shower worked well. There was a notice to put toilet paper in a trash can vs. flushing it. Noise: I was concerned about noise from the street at night. We were there on a Monday night and there was no issue with street noise that night. There was some noise (vehicles, talking) from the street in the early morning. The A/C unit would turn on quite noisily at regular intervals; it could wake you up if you are not a heavy sleeper. Arrival Logistics: The hotel communicates well via text/email. We were able to store our bags until our room was available. There is a very small alley a couple doors past the hotel, as you drive down the one way street. We used that alley to park quickly as we unloaded bags upon arrival - before driving to an offsite parking lot. They recommended the Galeria Paseo Portuario parking garage nearby (I think it was $13 for 24 hours) and also noted the La Puntilla parking lot ($3 to $5 for overnight parking) further away. We used La Puntilla. It was a short walk - towing a rolling suitcase. It would be a long walk if carrying (vs. rolling) a heavy bag. Finding a free space in La Puntilla took some time/effort.
马马The location of the hotel is not bad, there are a lot of food on the side, there are Wal-Mart and CVS in 20 minutes walk, the opposite is a big pharmacy, the room is quite satisfactory, the breakfast downstairs tastes good and not expensive.
GGuest UserI booked this hotel by accident. The hotel is new and in a good location. I booked a deluxe king-size bed this time. The front desk service was very enthusiastic and they arranged a room for me. The scenery outside the window attracted us the most. The lake view is beautiful. The hotel's service is a plus point. It was a special trip. Satisfied.
SSkylaGAhhh where to start? I had an amazing time at this hostel. I was always greeted in such a friendly way, and the rooms were always cleaned and well maintained by the excellent housekeeper, Edwin. He was so kind and gave great recommendations, and kept the bathroom and room very well maintained and clean. Dinelys and Nina were both so helpful and welcoming, especially since it was my first time in a hostel. I enjoyed my first time so much that I came back for another 4 nights a few days later! And thank God I did, i met some incredible people on my return visit! The rooftop is wonderful, and I felt very at home. The beach is a quick 6-10 minute walk away, and there’s plenty of food and shops around. Will absolutely stay again the next time I’m in San Juan! 🤍🤍
SSeñor GringoGreat, convenient location if U want to explore Santurce/Miramar by just walking. 4 blocks away is Ciudadela which has a 24 hr Pueblo, Planet Fitness, & Mercado La Carreta cafe. Directly across for Ciudadela is a food truck food court called Lote 23 (very tasty, interesting mix). Also don't miss Abracadaba brunch & local coffee spot 787 Coffee. Also couple of good Mex restaurants on Ave José de Diego. U can use this same road to walk to Condado beach 🏖️ area, approx 15 minutes. There are also electric 🛴 on the sidewalks for rent.
Right next to hotel just down hill is La Casona (beautiful garden restaurant & fine dining). Just across street from this,on Avenida Juncos, is Burrillos Santurce; a really tasty & very good prices casual Mex 🌯 spot (order at counter & sit). 3 min walk....
Even though location is excellent, the hotel itself is definitely budget. No significant amenities, small rooms & even smaller bathrooms. Water pressure on low side. Rooms have flat panels & cable (didn't use though). AC as much nicer, quiet split type units, worked very well. Small rooms also much easier & quicker to cool. Kinda old, outdated & funky (but also a lot of character), but if U just need a functional place to crash, the room prices are very very good! $65-80/night vs $400 ?!? Also has 1 self serve laundry wash n dry machines. In lobby is a small cafe-type seating area. Free wifi, but kinda slow. Depending on room location, there can be noise issues. Rooms directly above the Asia di Lima restaurant's exhaust fan (on Calle San Jorge side) should keep windows closed btwn 4-11pm to minimize cooking exhaust odors.
Anyway... would definitely stay here again; especially if the room rates ate below $80/day. And don't really need a lot of fluff; not on vacation to hang out in tiny room or hotel property. If U want the resort experience... Caribé Hilton, Vanderbilt, La Concha, or Sonesta or El San Juan in Isla Verde... but you're paying $300-800/night !!
If U stay here, don't be shy! Get out & walk around as much as possible... you'll be surprised by all the off-the-beaten path cool stuff you'll find. A much more authentic 🇵🇷 experience!
GGuest UserThe front desk and everyone at this hotel was extremely nice and helpful. My only concern was the fact that the hotel is not actually the comfort inn and has undergone a name change. I was not informed before I arrived and it really was not a good start to my bday weekend. Hotel was in walking distance to many restaurant and bars however why was I not informed about the name change before arrival and why has Trip.com not updated the hotel name in the site as of 1/24/23 and hotel states name changed in 12/15/22. I believe they do this to lure people into to booking a new without their knowledge.
GGuest UserOur cruise ship came into port at 8:30 a.m. and the hotel was kind enough to allow us to store our luggage until check in at 3:00. The staff was very accommodating and the hotel is close to the beach - only about a block away as well as Ashford Avenue with tons of restaurants and shops. However, the rooms are a bit depressing. The walls are pretty bare, linoleum on the floor and the elevator was scary - sounds like you are going to get stuck in it by the way it groans. When I sat on the terrace I just overlooked concrete buildings and roofs. There is a nice little outside lobby with patio tables and umbrellas to sit at and a decent little breakfast room. Also be aware of the ”coquis” - high pitched sounds by the tree frogs in the lagoon nearby. These are all over Puerto Rico but drove me bananas when I was trying to sleep! Finally i just tuned them out. The price here was less than the higher priced hotels nearby but you might want to spend the extra money for a cheerier room and stay right on the beach.
