Barceló San José

The hotel itself is nice, but we experienced several issues while traveling as a family of three. At check-in around 3:20 PM, our room was not ready, and we had to wait approximately 15 minutes in the lobby. The “free” airport shuttle for our departure the next day runs only every two hours, and by the time we tried to book it, only two seats were available, so we were unable to use the service. When we arrived in the room, there was only one towel provided. I called room service twice to request additional towels, but none were delivered. While the front desk receptionist spoke English, other staff—particularly the bellman in the lobby and the staff member stationed at the entrance—did not speak English, which made communication difficult. The buffet breakfast is great.
