Located right outside Powell Street station of Bart if you’re traveling from airport in Bart then it’s very convenient The room is big enough to open and pack two big luggage Amenities were lacking though the tissue box is empty when I first get into the room and no slippers to be found in the room We asked concierge and they quickly placed new ones for us Toilet is quite old but generally it’s clean

Location of the hotel is good. As told, left side of the hotel is more safe than the right side as there are not many homeless people on the left side. The hotel provides daily cleaning and refills bath amenities automatically. The air conditioning is quite cool but can be adjusted, nevertheless, the blanket is not thick enough which slightly affected sleeping quality.

Was disappointed with the USD $25 daily destination fee. From my check it is not imposed by the state so it must be imposed by the hotel. I was asked to speak to the manager to try to waive the fee but she said it’s mandatory. You decide if it’s fair? It certainly left a bad taste.

I totally enjoyed my stay during a 4-days at this place. The location is super convenient, take 101/130/150 to go to Union square, walk a little bit and take 19 to go to Beach Road. If you are adventurous, you can actually walk to the Downtown. I had to check in early as my flight landed a bit advance. They allowed me to early check in at a nominal fee which is totally acceptable. Also the cityscape view from hotel is amazing! I felt the place is safer, all amenities provided (ironing bed, hangers, refrigerator, iron box, coffee and tea bags… so on). I would certainly stay here again and highly recommend checking this out. The front desk staff (Ben & Daimler) greeted me with HUGE smiles after a long flight. They offered me a much needed quiet room and even upgraded me to a beautiful suite. Complimentary wine tasting was going on in the lobby with live music. My room was beautiful and very clean. After unpacking, I realized I forgot toothpaste. I went downstairs on my way to dinner and asked the front desk if they had any extras, they brought it to my room along with an extra toothbrush while I was gone (amazing!). Great location. Walkable to so many restaurants. Will definitely stay again.

The location is perfect, easy to access all the famous spots in SF. Overall service was also nice. However, the facilities in the bathroom need to replace with new ones, or, at least, it needs to be fixed. 1. the drain in the sink was clogged, so water went down slowly. 2. I hoped to take a rest from the fatigue of my long journey with a lower-body bath, but it was almost impossible since the tub cap looks like broken, and the water in the tub kept leaking. It was a somewhat disappointing experience considering the hotel is regarded as the best one in SF.

The room booked was spacious and the room rate also include breakfast. The hotel lobby also provide coffee and tea. The hotel is within walking distance to the cable car stop to travel to Union Square and Chinatown and also Fisherman Wharf.

Stayed two nights. The hotel is located near Union Square, and the location is very convenient. You can take tram as soon as you go out. There are many famous brand shops and shopping malls nearby. The location is superb. However, the content of the hotel may be a long time ago, except that it is very small and outdated. You absolutely don't dare to step on the slippers, and you ca n’t imagine the dirty. Other equipment can be clean, but for the convenience of transportation, it is also possible to endure a night or two.

We stayed 2 nights at the Cartwright. While the management and customer service was awesome, the room was not. Especially for the price. There was barely any room except for the bed. The pictures of a king room are NOT what you get. I kept hitting my leg on the back corner of the bed frame, as the room to get in to the bed from that side was so small. Additionally, management had to be asked for ice. No vending machines. Coffee only in the morning. Also, there were numerous homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk across from the hotel. Parking is a block away, directions handed out are incorrect. While I appreciate the history of the hotel, I do not recommend a king room at this hotel unless it's for one person. I would not stay here again. There are multiple other hotels in Union Square.

Yotel SF was perfect for my stay in SF. I stayed in a duplex room so the lower level was were the bathroom was and the bed was on the loft. It was impeccably clean and the bed was super comfortable. The complimentary coffee was a nice touch and there were even phone rooms available to use for work calls. The area surrounding the hotel is active at night as a meeting area for people without homes, but I just minded my own business and it was ok the one night I walked over from the train. If you're more concerned I recommend just taking a cab. The hotel itself is a good place to stay and I would book again!
