Hotel Drisco

The hotel Drisco is truly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The staff is very helpful and friendly, breakfast is superb as well as healthy and evening drinks and nibbles delicious. Plenty of tea and coffee with delicious homemade baked goods available all day long. The rooms are very comfortable with a choice of pillows and the location in Pacific Heights very quiet and very convenient.

This was a most delightful surprise and truly a gem in San Francisco and very appropriate for this beautiful neighborhood of Pacific Heights. The hotel is absolutely "top drawer." My room was elegantly furnished. The bathroom is stunning. The bed, the pillows and linens gave me the best night's sleep. Make sure you attend the Wine Tasting and hors d'ouvres. Outstanding. The breakfast is a spread you do not want to miss. Reminds me of being in Europe. Then on top of all of that, the employees are real and genuine. Service and kindness abounds. No more hotels in the Embarcadero or shopping districts. This is the one. Oh, and take yourself for a walk in the neighborhood. Views are breath-taking.

We absolutely loved the Hotel Drisco, it’s charming, luxe, and lovely. It’s an old San Francisco building, but it’s been updated, and modernized in entirely good ways, while retaining its charm. Hard to be beat the Pacific Heights location, easy access to Cow Hollow, the Marina, Fillmore, and B Patisserie. The one thing to know is this hotel is perched at the top of the hill, walking to Fillmore or the Marina is a lovely 1 mile walk, downhill. It’s so steep to the Marina or Cow Hollow that some may struggle a bit going down, for many, walking back up is not likely, so you’ll be driving or getting a ride (or using their electric bikes potentially). Speaking of those electric bikes, this is just one of many amenities that I would have expected to pay more for. Not at Hotel Drisco. I can honestly say, it’s the only hotel I can recall where they’re not looking to make incremental revenue from each guest, they’re too generous really! From an excellent setup for keeping water in your room (and they’re encouraging you to take their reusable water bottles home no less), to a departing gift, to incredibly reasonable room service pricing ($3 for a beer, never seen that). Also their early evening wine/apps thing was lovely, breakfast is a made to order omelette and more. All of this is a long way of saying, it’s not inexpensive, but I’d say it offers great value. It’s the kind of place you can’t wait to return to, and you don’t want to leave.

Superb and helpful service, particularly from the front desk— it is clear that the staff genuinely wants the guests to enjoy San Francisco, and to be comfortable at the Drisco. The afternoon wine tasting adds a pleasant opportunity to relax, and the glasses offered are interesting and of high quality.

This is my 3rd time staying at this hotel, and it never fails to surprise me because it never disappoints. I have formerly stayed at other hotels over on Nob Hill and although nice, there just isn't anything that compares with the care, attention to detail, and overall treatment of each guest. It probably sounds like I'm being paid to write this, but honestly-you owe it to yourselves to stay in this property. Your visit to San Francisco will be forever remembered by how incredible the services are and how attentive the staff truly is. Their "breakfast" has the best offerings I've seen, and their complimentary Happy Hour ranks 5 stars in the appetizers alone, not to mention the wine selection and other drinks. Top quality amenities are in each room including great turndown service! While they do not have a restaurant per se, the always available Concierge at the Reception Desk couldn't be more helpful or INFORMED regarding dining options throughout the city! Great for business and pleasure, this is my permanent go-to hotel from now on, hands down. (If the staff of the Hotel Drisco is reading this, thanks again and we'll see you on our next visit!)

My name is John Larimore. My wife Carol and I stayed overnight on March 3, 2024. We had a delightful room-service dinner upon our arrival in the dining room with delicious food and attentive service. We had the pleasure of being chauffeured to and from a concert at the San Francisco Symphony. The next morning, our stay was topped off by the lavish breakfast. The service, food, accommodations, and ambience are unmatched anywhere! I would recommend the Hotel Drico to anyone and everyone seeking a great hotel in San Francisco!

This is the best boutique hotel I have ever stayed at. Attention to detail is outstanding. Very clean and professional staff at all levels. The breakfast and happy hour are huge perks. The breakfast is second to none. We will always spend the extra money to stay here when we go to San Fran. Have been staying at this hotel for many years.

This was a big treat for us. Situated in the upscale neighborhood of Pacific Heights, this hotel provides exceptional hospitality. Street parking is easy to find and feels safe, though one should always be cautious -- don't leave visible items in the car and, of course, keep the car doors locked. Beginning with a warm welcome at the reception desk and, assuming you arrive in the afternoon, hot beverages and cookies, one feels immediately at home in a peaceful surrounding. Our room was well-appointed and every need was addressed. A welcome plate of fresh fruit awaited us; the mattress was super-comfortable. There was a choice of pillows, luxurious toiletries, a bedside water bottle, closet amenities, such as shoe horns and beautiful hangers. The soft colors of the room and the view towards the San Francisco Bay enchanted us. We wanted to watch a classic holiday movie, so a member of the staff brought us a DVD player and set it up for us. We opted to skip dinner after enjoying sumptuous hors d'oeuvres and exquisite, local wines during the early evening. At breakfast we enjoyed a cooked-to-order hot breakfast, fresh fruit, delicious coffee and pastries. Very simply, it was for us a holiday treat and a memorable stay. We're actually native San Franciscans, but no longer live in The City. We highly recommend The Drisco Hotel for an amazing San Francisco experience.

This is one of my most favorite hotels in the world! The neighborhood is charming, the staff is wonderful, the accomodations are lovely and the amenities are abundant. This boutique hotel, located in gorgeous Pacific Heights, is a very special place!
