I chose the Ritz-Carlton for both the start and end of my West Coast road trip, and it truly lives up to its five-star-plus reputation: the environment, the bedding, and the service. Even the complimentary bottled water tasted better than what you'd buy at the supermarket.

Hotel with over 100 year-old history. Great location five minutes from Chinatown in 10 minutes from Union Square. This is a pet friendly hotel so please beware if you are not particularly fun of dogs this may not be the hotel for you. There is no breakfast buffet to our surprise.

We stayed at Ritz to celebrate my father’s 73rd Birthday. They are very generous and provided complimentary cupcakes and wine. Definitely the best place to celebrate special occasions! Good food, excellent service and super friendly staff.
