I checked into Embassy Suites by Hilton San Diego La Jolla on Friday evening this week. During my stay, I accidentally lost my passport, which caused me a great deal of stress, as it is extremely important to me. I would like to sincerely thank Celsa and Kayla, as well as any other staff members whose names I may have missed. With their help, my passport was eventually found and carefully kept safe for me. Their professionalism, kindness, and patience truly made a difficult situation much easier. I am deeply grateful for their support and care, and this experience really showed me how much the staff genuinely looks out for their guests. Thank you again to the wonderful team at Embassy Suites by Hilton San Diego La Jolla.

The typical Embassy Suites – spacious rooms, great breakfast with fresh eggs and customizable options.

The staff and service were amazing and had a delicious breakfast. Loved the afternoon snacks. Only issue I had was that the gym was suppose to open at 6 am and when I arrived at 6 it was already open and full. Other than that, the stay was perfect and I would highly recommend it!

The hotel looks nice from the outside.  The rooms are dated; in need  of renovations.

The room was quite spacious, though a bit dim, and the facilities and decor felt somewhat dated. That said, this is often the case for most hotels in the US at this price point. Despite these points, it was overall clean and presentable. The hotel seemed quite busy, and the breakfast selection was a bit limited and didn't really cater well to Chinese palates. The location, however, is a major plus; it's a short walk to the mall, and very convenient for dining out or ordering takeout.

The room was spacious, but the hotel felt a bit dated, and the air conditioning was quite loud.

The location is the highlight of my stay. We walked to the Mail daily for food and shopping. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The breakfast omelette is excellent. The room is clean and snacks were free for my premium room. I will return to this hotel next time.

The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable, although the facilities were a bit dated. Breakfast was nothing special. However, the location is absolutely superb. It's directly across from Westfield UTC, which is a complete hub for dining, shopping, and entertainment, and the light rail station is also within walking distance.

The hotel's greatest asset is its superb location. La Jolla, an affluent San Diego neighborhood, is a bit removed from downtown but offers a safer, cleaner environment. It's conveniently close to UCSD and La Jolla Beach, boasting picturesque views and fewer crowds. Directly across from the hotel, a massive dining and shopping complex provides every amenity for entertainment and culinary pursuits. The hotel itself feels a bit dated, with room amenities appearing about two decades old. However, the rooms are quite spacious. Our family room was configured much like a one-bedroom apartment, featuring a separate door that allowed for complete privacy, which was a definite plus. The room was well-equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker, making it ideal for family stays. While the hotel is large and frequently busy with numerous guests, which can lead to some noise, and the breakfast area often gets packed, it does offer a very convenient on-site parking garage.

Toilet paper so thin you can see through it. For that money you can stay in a Holiday Inn where they give you robes. Serious lack of amenities. Plastic water cup in the bathroom is no thicker than a finger nail. No paper nor pencil near the phone. Sit on the edge of the bed and you can slide to the floor. Thread bare chairs and on and on. The water use fixture for the bathtub / shower is so old they have instructions on how to use it. And the free water they give you for Gold Hilton members is small and if you want to refill it, you have to go to the lobby. I travel a lot (well over 3 million miles) and I have never seen that water container except at this hotel. It seems, anywhere, any time, any circumstance when they can save a little, they will do this. Very little consideration for the guests comfort. Because of the location, I have stayed at this Embassy Suites 40 plus times.

This is an all-suite hotel. We were assigned a quiet room on the 12th floor with a great view. The breakfast was plentiful, and you could order freshly made omelets. Interestingly, only the made-to-order omelet station required a card swipe; the rest of the breakfast area was open access with no one monitoring it. The Avis rental counter on the ground floor helped me sort out some issues with my car. As a result, I decided not to swap vehicles and just drive it for one more day before returning it. The Chinese restaurant downstairs served generous portions; two dishes were ample for two people. We didn't visit the business center across the street because it was a bit of a walk. Instead, we ate at the Chinese restaurant right next to the hotel; it had lovely decor and the food was delicious. Parking at $42 is quite expensive. They provide a card to display on your dashboard, identifying you as a hotel guest, which allows you to park in the surface lot directly opposite the Avis rental spots. I preferred not to use the parking garage, and when I asked the front desk, they confirmed it was perfectly fine to park there. This made it very convenient for unloading luggage, especially with multiple bags. Overall, I was very satisfied with the room; it certainly met 4-star standards.

The hotel's location is excellent for public transport; you can easily walk across the street to the UTC transfer station, which offers direct routes to UCSD and Old Town. Since standard double rooms were unavailable, we were upgraded to a very spacious suite. It boasted a dining room with a table for six, a living room complete with a 5-seater corner sofa, a large bedroom, a bathroom, and a wet bar. A microwave and coffee machine were included, though I missed having an electric kettle. While some of the amenities felt a bit dated and the decor showed its age, I was still very satisfied overall.

We booked a king suite, which was quite spacious, and the view from the window was excellent. The sofa bed in the separate living area was also comfortable for sleeping. Complimentary snacks and water were provided daily. Additionally, every evening from 5 PM to 6:30 PM, there was a complimentary happy hour on the first floor offering fruits, beverages, and alcoholic drinks.
