Best Western Plus Bayside Inn
4.1/5110 Reviews
Downtown San Diego
A nice option in San Diego is close to the bay and close to Little Italy to have dinner (You must try Sambugers). There is a nice pool. The rooms are great, with a balcony and if you are lucky, you’ll have some views of the bay. The main issue is the “breakfast”. I’ll skip commenting, you can read some other reviews. I didn’t have a problem because they inform you before the reservation. There is a Starbucks in front of it. The check-in was not informative or clear at all. They pretend to charge an amount without any explanation (room + parking and incidentals) We have some problems with the room and the night manager didn’t hesitate to arrange a change (I don’t remember the name, but she understood the problem and work to find a solution). Thanks to her we had a great experience in San Diego, and we are writing a 5-star review
Best Western Plus Island Palms Hotel & Marina

San Diego Intl. Airport
This is a nice quiet hotel with ocean views. However I had two issues that I will not be going back or recommending. I was charged twice 2 separate charges for room plus $200 deposit fee. Then when I went to check out they said my card didn't go through ( because they had already taken the money) they said I had to pay with credit card which I did. So for 3 days I was charged $1,616.14 in total. The manager told me in 10 days the reservation charges would be refunded. 13 days later still no refund. I called 2xs to management. They now told me I have to contact the card company. What a headache!! Let me throw in that the hotel restaurant is way overpriced for the quality of food. I ordered breakfast and the breakfast sausage tasted like one of those cheap microwaveable frozen food patties. This is a nice area on Shelter Island Drive I suggest looking into other hotels on this street. Good luck!
Best Western Plus Hacienda Hotel Old Town

San Diego Old Town
The hardware conditions are not good. The parking fee is 19 knives a night. The roadside should be able to park, but it is a bit late. I don't want to go to the road to see the sign and look for the parking space. Hotel service attitude is OK, but the state of health is not flattering, the bathroom is not smooth, the bath is very disgusting. Breakfast tableware is not too clean, I really don't want to tip. There are few old town hotels, but it seems that there is no choice, maybe other cost-effective.
