Durdona Hotel

The hotel is compact and cozy. The location is good. Breakfasts are portioned and good (not a buffet). Cons: no toothbrushes, no tea making facilities in the room. Bed linens are not fresh.

The hotel is perfectly located! It's right at the start of the main route that takes you to all the sights. Gur Emir is just around the corner. There's a post office in the building next door, so you can send beautiful postcards to your family and buy souvenirs. The room has everything you need: a bed, a closet, a refrigerator, and a kettle. The shower has hot water, though the pressure isn't great. The window, which faces the stairs rather than the street, is a bit of a turn-off, but a curtain solves the problem. The slippers are definitely not disposable, but after hours of walking, the massage slippers were perfect. Breakfast is limited, but hearty, like visiting someone – bread, cheese, sausage, eggs, porridge, tea/coffee with cookies and jam (homemade! Strawberry or apricot).

An excellent, affordable hotel. Conveniently located, close to the Registan, Tamerlane's Mausoleum, and the Plov Center café. We had a room on the third floor with a balcony overlooking the narrow streets of Samarkand. Breakfast offered a limited European selection, without the abundance of Turkish or UAE fare. Overall, it had everything a traveling family could need. And, of course, the reception staff were very helpful.

A very nice hotel with a great location. Near the Guri Amir Mausoleum. The rooms are clean and odorless, and they provide all the amenities, from slippers to toothbrushes. We were put on the third floor. There's a terrace with a stool right next to our room. And the breakfasts are delicious and filling. I recommend it.
