We have just got home from our first family holiday here. Had to review it before i forgot, because what an absolutely amazing place & deserves all the praise it gets. The whole outdoor area is amazing, unique and probably would be very relaxing if it wasn't for our crazy toddler running round everywhere. It was such a lovely space for our toddler to explore and we managed to tire him out before bed every night ! The family & staff are all amazing, very welcoming and helpful, and we loved all the home grown products. The food is delicious. Melon soup , wow , perfect for the warm days! I will be making this at home! Good local walks, beautiful streams for paddling, enchanting woods and strawberry picking fields within a 10 minute walk. We had a fabulous stay and will hopefully be back as our little boy grows into an adventurer !

If you want to visit Salzburg without giving up the tranquility of a hotel surrounded by greenery, the Doktorwirt is the right place for you!!! Located just 3.5 km from the historic center of Salzburg, reachable in about 20 minutes by bus No. 7 which stops a few hundred meters from the hotel. Outside the hotel is lovely with a large well kept garden, outdoor swimming pool, heated indoor swimming pool and sauna. Medium-sized room with garden view furnished in style, very quiet and with shutters that ensure excellent sleep quality. Flat screen television with RAI channels, internet and safe. Elevator. Pets Allowed. Parking all around the hotel. Scrupulous welcome regarding the anti-covid regulations, at the same time very courteous and helpful. The very courteous staff does not speak Italian, however one of the owners Caroline, who knows Italian, is always available to help in case of difficulty and explain the dishes on the restaurant menu. Excellent home cooking both in terms of quality and presentation of the dishes, in fact a very well-kept family-run hotel. Good quality breakfast, despite the limitations set by the anti-covid legislation. Despite the price a little high, definitely recommended !!!

Questo delizioso hotel è stato la nostra base per la nostra prima visita a Salisburgo. Al fascino e alla bellezza della città si è aggiunta infatti la piacevolezza del nostro soggiorno al Doktorwirst, curatissimo Gasthof, dove abbiamo potuto rilassarci a bordo piscina immersi nel giardino verde e fiorito, abbiamo fatto colazioni ricche e genuine ed una cena squisita (memorabili i fiori di zucca ripieni di formaggio caprino). Grazie a Caroline e a tutta la sua famiglia per la cordiale accoglienza a noi e alla nostra cagnolina.

Der Doktorwirt liegt im schönen Stadtteil Aigen im Süden von Salzburg.Wunderbar ist der kleine Biergarten, frisch gezapftes gutes Bier und feine österreichische Weine werden hier angeboten. Dazu ein Tagesmenue, Brotzeiten und Schmankerl, das alles wohlschmeckend und zu vernünftigen Preisen.Gottlob gibt es noch solche Wirtschaften , die den Gast willkommen heißen und verwöhnen. Mein heuriger Favorit war das wunderbare Backhendl- zart und saftig, dazu den süffigen Haus-Veltliner -ein Traum.
