Hotel Astoria

The stay at Astoria Hotel was primarily to be reasonably close to the airport for a morning flight. To this end it was perfect. The check in was easy and they provided a lot of information on what was around and how best to get there. The room was nice and ideal for our short stay and the breakfast included was good and good options. The bus stops to the centre is almost outside and from the centre is around 150 metres away.

The Hotel is great. It's very clean and the staff is amazing. We got in a bit late, but we called a few hours before to let them know, and the lady was super helpful. We got parking, at the hotel , which you need to let them know when booking. But there's a bus stop opposit the hotel , so it is easy to get around.

Spent two nights in the twin room over the New Year period. Lovely staff, always willing to help and an asset to the hotel. The room was cozy and clean with a beautiful view of the mountain horizon. The location was within easy access of the city center, just one 15 minute bus away.

The room was small, but quite suitable for an overnight stay. I think that for this price you won’t find anything better in Salzburg. + Very good breakfast, friendly people - But poor sound protection. The sound of water from the next room is clearly audible

It’s get two because of the polite staff and the nice breakfast food. The rest is pretty basic, hence why knocked down to two. Pros - nice breakfast options. Standard continental fare, with hot options of scrambled eggs bacon and chipolatas. Although the staff are barely visible, when you do see them, they are polite enough, helpful and smile. But that’s about it. Cons - room (ours anyway) was insanely small. The size of a small single room, but two small single beds and a tiny bathroom. Absolutely not big enough for two adults and you best be close, as the bathroom is not really private or soundproof. Really basic and also not a hotel, reminds me of a basic shared dormitory in a hostel. Room was unclean and not cleaned in 3 days. No clean towels, sink was dirty. Shower tray didn’t drain. Rooms and hotel in general are insanely HOT. You keep cool by leaving windows open, not ideal for noise or bugs. While we knew the distance from centre, it’s 25/30 min walk. But easy to get transport. A great basic hotel, but not worth it unless you are on a budget, but literally no chance to release after a long day of walking and touring.

The hotel is on the number 1 and number 10 bus routes which go to the train station and hanger 7 attraction. Lovely cafe and restaurant just down te street with quick access to Salzburg centre with interesting things to do and sights to see

The rooms were very clean. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was phenomenal. A great choice of all different foods. Check in and check out. Was very easy. Very close to the airport. Definitely stay here again and visiting Austria.
