Great hotel with excellent service and staff. We had the best experience at Hotel Mercure out of the various hotels we stayed. I’ll definitely look out for Mercure in other cities.  Also they offer fridge snacks for free in your room ..

The hotel is showing its age, evident from the rust stains on the window railings and the chipped enamel in the bathtub. Even a small fridge would be a more contemporary amenity, considering a minibar isn't an option. But then again, it seems Salzburg as a whole is decades behind in terms of hospitality development. It feels like they're quite content to bask in their proverbial 'drizzle,' seemingly pleased that tourists fall for the pervasive Mozart-themed kitsch and willingly pay shamelessly inflated prices for something that's not even worth a second thought.

Excellent hotel with a fantastic breakfast. There are three public transport stops nearby, and it's an 8-minute walk to the train station. A large park is just next door.

Check in done by two very professional and pleasant gentleman which is a great start. We had questions regarding traffic arrangements to Hallstatt and they were very helpful. Overall a great stay though we need to take bus to get to most of the places but the bus stop is just around the corner

The hotel is 12 mins walk from Salzburg Central Train Station. There is a supermarket and a Thai restaurant nearby, we need to walk to Central Train Station or take bus to go to town center for dinner.

The hotel is very good, with a decent location. There's a bus service to the train station. It's in a residential area, but it's quiet and safe. Salzburg is incredibly peaceful and full of music. You can walk or take the bus to the Old Town, Mozart's birthplace, and Fortress Hohensalzburg. Train stations are usually very close together in Europe, so it's convenient to just a few stops away. We caught the Salzburg Music Festival, and the city came alive. The locals were all dressed up, and it was a lively scene.
