🛖☀️ Hotel opening its doors on a beautiful small beach. Presence of transactions, palm trees, cocotiers, shelter and immediate access to the sea. Various types of boxes with or without private terraces. Very good WiFi connection. 🛌 Clean room, well furnished and spacious shower room. Comfortable beds. Presence of bed mosquitoes and air conditioner. 🍽 Good meals even if prices are a little higher though correct, probably given the location of the establishment*****t. 🙋 A nice, smiled and very present staff. Managing out-of-peer dynamics. A adorable servant, laughing and radiant.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel in Senegal. I had a deluxe room and it was quite big and clean and quite stylish which is important to me.) There was a kettle in the room and teas and coffees were daily replenished. Plus it had a small fridge inside. Each day there were two complimentary small water bottles put into the room. The things which were not so great about this particular room is the fact that it was dark and there was a wall seen which somehow was associated with the prison wall in my mind. I think that the wall can be disguised with beautiful climbing or trailing plants. The room had AC but it was quite noisy so I had to switch it off at night as I can only sleep in absolute silence. The room was cleaned daily. The towels were new and of good quality. There was a sign asking to think about the resources and only change them if necessary which I do agree with. There was also a TV in the room with a few French speaking channels and a couple of English speaking channels. I preferred to watch the French speaking channels as I was on holiday and wanted to be emerged in a different culture and language. By the end of my stay I could even understand a few French words. The territory of the hotel is beautiful and meticulously clean. The gardens are really looked after and they are a marvel to the eye. In my opinion the swimming pool is on the small side but it does serve the purpose. There are plenty of the sun lounges on the beach and I preferred spending time there reading my books looking at a beautiful coastline. Some of the food served was out of this world. Whoever is responsible for the food should get lots of praise and credit as it is of very high standard. The variety of food is also great. The deserts are very delicious. There was live music in the evenings and there was Senegalese folk dancers once. The Senegalese staff at this hotel are absolutely wonderful. They are very well mannered and really pleasant to talk to. They always looked smart in their beautiful Senegalese clothes and were an absolute pleasure to communicate with. You can walk to Sally along the coast or if you just get out of the hotel and walk for about 15 minutes. It's really sad that Senegal has lots of plastic litter in the streets and even in its beautiful African savanna. I took two excursions during my stay as I did want to combine the beach holiday and some sightseeing. I used Sénégal Découvertes Touristiques company, its representative was at the hotel once and I booked it with him. I did Dakar+Goree Island trip and Saloum Delta trip which both had a lovely lunch included and did cost around 55 pounds and 51 pounds respectively. I especially liked the second trip. I was told by another guest hat TUI used Nouvelles Frontieres for its trips. If you do it directly it will be much less than TUI price. In the evenings I did a walk along the ocean to sally and the views were great and the experience was wonderful. I absolutely loved this trip

I was staying at this hotel through an organization who I was partnering with to build a school in the area. I knew almost nothing about the hotel and was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. It is a lush tropical paradise right on the water. The grounds were covered with flowers and palm trees. There were lizards, birds and butterflies everywhere and it is right in the center of town. The people at the front desk were very warm and friendly (though they mainly speak French). They also have a bar and serve a decent buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner daily at the hotel. On Saturday night they have live music. The rooms were a decent size, though the beds and pillows were a little hard. The bathroom hot water also can get boiling to the touch so you have to be very careful with that. Overall, it was an unexpectedly great experience, aside from the beds and the overly hot water. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area. There is also a great little reserve with zebras, ostriches, rhinos and other animals less than an hour away.

Very nice room, original, very pleasent decoration. Excellent bathroom, very complete, large, original. All facilities extra clean. Good, safe parking. Very good internet. Reception team efficient & friendly. When I left I forgot my glasses in the room. They called me from the Hotel two days later asking whether they sent me the glasses, or kept them there till my next visit. Garden & swimming pool excellent. The only area to improve is the range of breakfast dishes, it was quite limited.
Mövenpick Resort Lamantin Saly

This hotel just recently rebranded to Movenpick but basically only the signage has changed. Check in was slow and the first guy who started doing it had absolutely no idea what to do. Room showed years of poor maintenance and bad construction. The bed was comfortable. Wifi was basically non-existant and the mobile phone signal in this area is very weak. Very little English spoken among the staff. Dinner was a buffet but I arrived late so I really wonder how long the stuff had been sitting there. Some of it looked not very nice. No staff understood English. Breakfast was also a buffet and very limited. I asked for scrambled eggs and no-one knew what they are. Gym doesn't open until 8am!!!! Useless. Check out was painfully slow. Again the first person who tried to help me had no idea what she was doing at all and just stared blankly at the computer. Then they got the bill wrong so that took another round of changing and calling and printing. I'm confident that Accor/Movenpick will get this place right... but give it a year or two, it needs new hardware and software!

The hotel is in a great location, located in the tourist area, close to the sea and you can walk to the beach on foot. The hotel is decorated with bougainvillea and has a pool bar for relaxation. The design of the room is a four-bedroom layout. When I go there, there are very few people. The whole hotel is very pleasant. The autonomous stewed lamb at night is superb.
