4R Casablanca Playa

Stayed with our 2 dogs on a cold February night. If you arrive by car, park outside, check in and reception will give you directions to the parking. It's around the back of the hotel in the underground garage. The room was cold, the heating was slow to function. Other than that, a clean room with lovely hot shower. Friendly staff and excellent breakfast which was included for €67 when booking direct with the hotel. €15 for secure parking. €98 in total with pet supplement. Just opposite the beach. We would stay again.

First impressions were great nice clean hotel staff very helpful and friendly its a lovely hotel the room was spacious clean and the bed was really really comfortable we loved it. We had a sea view balcony room and the view was amazing we could hear the waves lapping the sandy beach morning and night it was so relaxing. There wasnt many issues really only that the rooms could be better sound proofed as we could hear the tv next door and people moving about their room apart from that it wasnt a problem. Aircon was great we had a safe in the room and a fridge the shower was amazing! The breakfast was pretty basic all european meats sliced sausage eggs streaky bacon which was a bit hard but nothing special. Also had various pastries cakes donuts etc and again a nice view from the dining room of the beach. Overall the casablanca playa was ideal for us and we would stay here again if we ever came back to Salou its away from all the noise in town which is only a 15 min walk away but theirs plenty of shops bars and restraunts nearby and we found it to be a very nice pleasant stay and would highly recommend

We stayed for a few nights in a triple room in March. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. We had a good sized balcony and a side view of the beach. There was a large shower with excellent water pressure and a mini fridge in the room. The room was spotlessly clean. We found the staff very friendly and they had no problem storing our luggage after we checked out. The hotel is in a great location across from the beach . A short stroll will lead you to lots of bars, restaurants and shops in the old town and also the promenade. We did not use the pool in the hotel and found the breakfast to be average. I would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Outstanding experience. The view has been the best I have ever had in a hotel. Room has been spacious , clean and tastefully renovated. Excellent bathroom. Staff has been very friendly.

Hotel was clean, bedrooms & bathrooms comfortable and modern. Front sea view is great. Beach is nice. I lived in this area for 2 years so knew the location was good. HOWEVER, I was not aware on booking that this hotel allowed dogs which barked continually, had no tea/coffee making facilities so I had to take a collapsible kettle, cup, spoon, tea bags etc in my luggage, the maids and residents were talking very loudly in corridors outside my door from 7.30am, guy in next room was smoking on balcony constantly with smoke blowing into my room, maids were loudly dragging furniture across floors every morning. Pool very small but I didn’t need it myself. One day a maid let herself into my room without knocking when I was half-dressed, so I had to leave my ‘do not disturb’ notice outside door every night. Even then I had maids knocking on the door. Basically the hotel looked fine but they really need better soundproofing!!! BTW I was also charged twice at arrival for the balance of my stay. Luckily I checked my bank account or I would be almost £600 short! They also make you pay for breakfast every day, even if you don’t want/eat breakfast! Cheeky!!! I won’t stay here again. Better off renting an apartment overlooking sea for less than half the price and a bit of blinking privacy!!! The reception staff were polite and helpful.

Easy access, the room was very comfortable and all the staff were very friendly and professional. The dining menu offered a variety of items which were all prepared very well.

We arrived at the hotel first impressions the receptionist was abrupt & not welcoming We were put into a room on the third floor (we had requested a ground floor) Corridor had a stale cigarette smell our room was next to the lifts & the noise kept us awake on night one. The view from the balcony was of another block of residential flats. The towels were full of holes & grey. We asked to see the manger Kim (male) he offered us a second floor room described as having a sea view this view was (partial) behind a corner wall. He requested 25 euros per night for this change we declined. He advised the following day other rooms may be available. We were moved to first floor as no other options and had to pay an additional 35 euros per night totalling 185 euros paid for this room.This room was clean & an improvement Cleaning staff helpful & friendly Breakfast was average pastries were nice & coffee. Some of the other foods appeared to be dried out / stale. We requested to use an iron and ironing board and was charged 10 euros for this. There is no swimming pool to bathe or swim in 2 very small pools which were not clean. The outside area by pool was unclean and needed some care (see photos) staff at bar pool were unhelpful. The lady on the reception during the evening was smiley and really helpful she assisted us in finding out transport options to go to Barcelona Overall as a family of three we felt disappointed by the experience of the hotel This hotel is classed as three star which feels generous

Just arrived home after spending 5 nights in 4R Casablanca, firstly the lady on reception was so welcoming & so helpful during our stay, the room was beautiful, so clean, the view overlooking the beach was fabulous,we thoroughly enjoyed listening to the waves & chilling on the balcony, having the fridge was an added bonus we could have cold drinks..the breakfast had a great array the food was very enjoyable, my daughter is gluten free, there was a basket full of gluten free products which she enjoyed.. all the staff were just so friendly & greeted everyone with s smile.. such a lovely holiday experience, it was our 1st time in Salou we’ll be back .. thanks everyone at 4R Casablanca
