Best Western Salisbury Red Lion Hotel

Wonderful location

The service in hotel is terrible. No interaction with guests from staff at breakfast, or in bar. Staff in breakfast room may need support, as obviously very unhappy. Numerous guests asked for cups/plates/ teaspoons/ juices, which the lack of obviously inhibited the dining experience. However, when given no verbal response  (just a roll of the eyes by staff) when you ask for above items makes you feel very unwelcome. A big hands up to BUFFALO, aka the toaster, who is by far the  the most efficient I have met. Fried offering is terrible so stick to the stale croissants and terrible tea. On a more positive note the room had character.

Information regarding parking options was thorough and correct. Our refurbished room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was ample and varied. Lovely historic property in a good location in need of designer decor to bring out the best in the public rooms and dispel the general ambience of dullness.

Gorgeous place to stay with a 2 minute walk to the bus stop for Stonehenge. Staff very friendly, helpful and professional. Excellent breakfast.

Lovely clean room. Bathroom radiator needs a switch outside to turn it off because the bathroom was to hot. Other than that good

Lovely hotel in the heart of the city short walk to restaurants bars shops cathedral, parking is only 2 min walk also , had a great stay for 2 nights

Friendly welcome from reception on arrival. Standard room was clean and comfortable. Lovely buffet breakfast that was available until 11am so very relaxed morning.

Overall a nice stay but one thing I did miss would be heating. There was a small electric heater but it was not powerful enough to heat up both the room and the bathroom

lovley room old building and the heating was on good condition with near to bus stop home will stay longer hopefully next time thanks 😊 liked the old building and the history not sure if it was used for the days as a coach stop/something on those lines 😀
