I was not staying at the hotel, but following a dinner at their off premise restaurant Chesa Veglia I had an absolutely first class experience. The meal finished with a plate of wonderful chocolate truffles that was brought to the table. They were so good that I wanted to buy them so I went to the hotel the next day to inquire if they were for sale. The concierge asked me to wait while he summoned the pastry chef. After a short wait Stefan Gerber arrived and thanked me for complimenting his truffles, apologized that he didn't have nicer packaging and presented me with the gift of a full bag of truffles. As much as I offered to pay for them he politely refused and insisted that it was his pleasure. While The Palace may not appreciate me publicizing that their staff is giving things away, this is a sign of first class hospitality and a fantastic staff that is well trained. The pizza at Cheese Veglia is also excellent, so go there and don't miss the truffle at the end!

My husband and I traveled from Australia to stay at Badrutt’s Palace Hotel, and it was an extraordinary experience. The staff’s warmth and impeccable service made us feel like royalty in a bygone era. The spa was a highlight, with an amazing massage that was pure bliss. Watching the snow fall from the cozy hotel was like being in a fairytale. Badrutt’s Palace is not just a hotel, but a destination that offers a unique blend of luxury, hospitality, and enchanting scenery. We left with unforgettable memories and a longing to return.

Amazing experience! Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so pleasurable. The location of the hotel is perfect and we had beautiful views over the frozen lake. We ate in a few of the restaurants, and they were all excellent. The breakfast buffet is fantastic. I particularly loved the fruit selection that was out of the ordinary. Try the different poached eggs with truffles if you stay. Delicious!

Can't get enough of this top hotel which as a travel advisor, is the best choice for luxury and hospitality. From the staff's over-the-top assistance and friendliness to the beautiful environment and central location, this is the place to be for pleasure or business. The food quality is very good and the Cigar lounge was happening and fun.

Badrutt's palace has an ambitious cocktail menu, yet the cocktails are sub-par. They are sometimes poorly prepared - too diluted, or served on ice when there should be no ice (like their Sazerac, for instance). Also the glassware is not worthy an establishment of this type: cheap, clunky glasses that really detract from the experience.

Mostly excellent service, except for the staff from the Grand Hall. After different activities, (skiing), not everybody wish to wait untill 19.30 PM for the oppening of the other restaurants, but the variety of food in the Grand Hall is limited and poor. Service in the Grand Hall is also poor and respectless.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Incredible experience ❤️ I’m in love and amazed. The food in the hotel all around the places is amazing. The service in the hotel is one of the best I’ve ever experienced, the views and the atmosphere… costs all the money, and I would definitely come again and again! Didn’t even won’t to get deeply into to the history of the hotel, because it won’t be enough to tell you have to see it definitely ❤️

What can one say about this classic hotel? Thanks that we have still some special places like Badrutt’sPalace! Feeling of past, very much connected with present! The best location in town! We were looked after tremendously well, thank you all staff , you have patience, style, kindness, you are one seamless team. I loved the music at breakfast, played fantastically by harpist, it set my mind for the day! I could go on and on, I do think you can feel how much I enjoyed. Thank you all. Ana

We stayed at the Badrutt’s Palace as part of my milestone birthday plans with my girlfriends. I’m sad to say, Badrutt’s Palace turned out to be the biggest disappointment of the trip. We spent about 7,500 CHF for two connecting rooms for two nights in the basic category rooms. And these are the reasons why I am giving the Badrutt’s one star: - When we arrived, at about 330pm we were told one of our rooms were not ready, because of a ‘technical issue’. The official check in time was 3pm. They told us to expect the room to be ready by 530pm. Meanwhile, they offered us “complimentary tea at the Grand Hall”. - The complimentary tea turned out to be a frame of small bites that was too little for the three of us, so we ordered one club sandwich and also some water. We were charged for the sandwich and water which turned out to be 75CHF. - At 530pm we went up to check into the room that was ready, as the connecting one still wasn’t ready yet. It turned out that the ‘technical issue’ were guests who hadn’t checked out. I saw the service staff cramming clothes and belongings into bags while they tried to clear out the room. - The rooms were really small. This I had heard and I thought it was acceptable considering the location of the hotel. What I did not expect was the general shabbiness of the place. Furnishings looked worn and tired. And the carpet wasn’t clean. I do my nightly stretches on the carpet, and found myself cheek to cheek to some dirt / soil. I was hoping that it came from the last guest in their hurry to check out and not some vintage dirt from winter 2022. - For the next two days, we found the staff generally distracted and too busy to attend to us, whether it be a request for a kettle, a charger, soft boil eggs at breakfast, water to the table or an ice pack. Things either never materialized or you needed to remind them three times before they arrived. - On the last day of our stay, I encountered a small crash on the slopes and tore my ACL. After making it back to the hotel, I called the front office to inform them about the injury, and potential need for alternative arrangements for dinner. Their reply was, “There will be a cancellation policy of 200CHF per person if you decide to cancel dinner” - I wasn’t prepared to pay 600CHF for no dinner and to mooch in a small room so I said I will go ahead with dinner, but could I please have a wheelchair to bring me to dinner. They said, of course we will bring it up immediately. We waited 1.5 hours for the wheelchair which never materialized. Finally I hobbled to the front desk to find out they had “lost the wheelchair”. I was puzzled why we were not informed any earlier. I feel extremely cheated out of what I thought was going to be a luxury experience. We are not un-used to paying high prices for 5-star accommodations but for this price, this level of service and general standards of the property are unacceptable.
