The room was very nice, friendly staff and the breakfast was wonderful. Location is excellent too. Our only complaint is the smell of the fish garbage from the adjoining restaurant that wafts into the hotel lobby. It’s not the hotel’s responsibility but they need to work out a solution with the restaurant owner or the hotel is likely to lose customers.

Great location in a lovely place. Large room over looking the harbour. The only down side to that was a bit noisy in the morning. The staff were lovely and helped us with bags up to the room and could not have been more helpful.
They showed us where to get free parking about 10 mins from the hotel

We stayed here for 4 days. We found the hotel to be most centrally located in the middle of everything. Facilities were excellent, breakfast was delicious and the staff were delightful, friendly and most helpful.

The location was wonderful! The people absolutely lovely! The only thing we didn't like was the smell at the entrance of the hotel and if you open the window. Which is a pity, because the view is fantastic and we loved the sounds of the people having dinner and the boats in the harbour.

This was a delightful little hotel right on the port. We had a superior room which was very large, clean and bright with plenty of space for all our clothes, cases etc. Very big windows that allowed lots of light in. Our room was on a corner (number 8) which did have a large street light outside so was quite bright but with the full curtains drawn it was perfectly dark to sleep. The air conditioning was very good and not too noisy. The street outside could get a bit noisy but generally only until about 12. The joys of being able to see the port! Staff were all lovely including the cleaning staff. Kettle provided but no milk, but that was easy to buy if needed. We are already planning our next trip. We didn't have breakfast as lots of places selling petite Dejeuner for around 9.50.

Very basic but perfect for our needs. Super-friendly receptionists and simple but adequate breakfast. Surprisingly quiet in rooms at the back. Best aspect was the proximity to everything this gorgeous spot has to offer. Easy walk to the market and local restaurants/shops.

We stayed in Hotel du Port from 8th till 11th June. Unlike other reviews our room which was a suite on the Ist floor was freshly painted and upgraded with with 3 windows overlooking the Harbour. Yes the reception area is small but the receptionist Cassandra was excellent with advice and helping with restaurant reservations and confirming our transport back to the airport. The hotel also has a lock up near by for safe storage of rented bikes.All the top restaurants are within 2-3 minutes walk as is the bike hire( a must to get to those delicious oyster cabanas along the coast cycling paths) Not to forget the best ice cream in ile de Re is next door. We did not have breakfast at the hotel so can not comment
